Actually, no. He/she was not being mean, they were just pointing out that it did and giving you advice by saying that you may need to study up more. You'll find most people here aren't always nice, and sometimes we have to be alittle mean to drill something into peoples heads. I am not the best rater here, but I am one of the more senior raters (if that's saying much) and regulars here, so please take my advice and listen to other people.

Venomoth@Choice Specs
Timid Nature
Tinted Lens
EVs: 252 SpA/252 Spe/4 SpD
Bug Buzz
Psychic
Sludge Bomb
HP Fighting

Good luck.

You should know that Mind Reader ensures that the next move will land unless the opponent switches. I suggest you go read up on the effects of moves before coming here.

just to tell you i did know about this and i was just trying to help and mind reader is only good for one turn so i thats why i still consider OHKO moves useless even with mind reader.

You should've said that when you posted your first post to avoid misunderstandings.
And it's Mind Reader, not Calm Mind! Calm Mind raises Sp.Atk and Sp. Def by one stage.

Blissey@Leftovers
Bold Nature
252 Sp. Def, 252 Def, 4HP
Ability: Serene Grace
-Defense Curl
-Charge Beam
-Ice Beam
-Softboiled.

Does anyone have suggestions for another EV spread? The current one isn't doing so well. I'm considering shifting EVs to Sp.Atk. Any idea on how many EVs I should move?

It's okay, people usually get jumbled up with stuff. Just play the game for long enough and it should be sorted out :DD . Perhaps it is my sometimes-abnormally-strong memory that make me assume that people around me should be able to remember stuff and get bad when they don't.
And thanks for the new EV spread. Will try it.

As for Infernape sets, you can go with a Choice Band or Choice Specs. Or you can do the Gimmicky:

-Calm Mind
-Slack Off
-Heat Wave/Flamethrower
-Grass Knot
with Leftovers.

For Spiritomb:

Spiritomb@Chesto Berry/Leftovers
-Calm Mind
-Rest/Pain Split(If you have HGSS, otherwise you can breed for it, as shown in next post.)
-Shadow Ball
-Dark Pulse/Hidden Power Fighting

@Leftovers/Lum Berry
-Toxic/Will-o-wisp
-Confuse Ray
-Protect
-Shadow Ball/Dark Pulse

Spiritomb also has lots of status moves: Confuse Ray, Toxic, Will-o-wisp and Hypnosis. Check out its pokedex entry and find a set that suits you. Most of the time Spiritomb is used as a tank, but you can use Calm Mind to sweep as well, but bear in mind its low Base Speed of 35.

TO Dragon Trainer: Hey! You're playing Crystal? Me too!

Current team: Dragonair, Meganium, Quagsire, Espeon.
Not planning to add new members, as I need space for HM slaves.

^Spiritomb learns Pain Split through breeding with a Mismagius or Misdreavous, so he doesn't need HGSS.

Hey, is this a good set for a PHYSICAL Shiftry:

Shiftry@Focus Sash
Adamant Nature
252/Atk 252/Spe 4/HP
-Swords Dance
-Explosion
-Seed Bomb
-Sucker Punch

Feel free to leave any other suggestions!
BTW, It'll be used for Singles & Doubles

For Double battles, you may need to re-EV your Shiftry, as pokemon in double battles take more hits than in Single battles, as there is a lower chance that you KO both opponents at once. More bulk will be needed for doubles. I'm really bad at EVs, so consult someone else.

Also, Shiftry's moderate Speed allows it to be outsped sometimes. It is advised to let it operate under Sunny Day.

Shiftry@Focus Sash
252 Atk, 252 Spe, 4HP/Def/SDef
-Sunny Day
-Explosion
-Seed Bomb
-Sucker Punch

This set should be better for doubles if you're building a team around Sunny day. Get the sun out, then let your partner protect and blow up. It works fine for a singles Sunny Day team too.

And I'll throw in one myself:

Salamence@Yache Berry
Adamant nature
-Iron Defense
-Roost
-Dragon Dance
-Dragon Claw

Any suggestions for EVs?

I can see what you're trying to do here....Iv'e seen this set on youtube <LINK>

For EVS:
252DEF 252Sp.DEF 4ATK/HP

This set is REALLY effective. Maybe a calm or an impish nature is needed here... watch the video and read the description, it'll tell you what ev's went into the salamence.;373;

Question on the above - Why not Mega Horn > Bug Bite? I understand about being different, and CroCross is definately different lol, but surely a base 120 STAB is the best option?

Eon Master

Born from the Flames
^Well, yes it is stronger, twice as powerful as Bug Bite, but it has 85% accuracy and 10 PP. Bug Bite has 100% accuracy and 20 PP. Hopefully that clears that up.

Ampy

Light The Stars
There are better dual screeners then Gallade, I can't really think of any fighting types, but using something with more Bulk would probably do alot better.
