International Pokemon Rescue

An arm of the International Pokemon League, the International Pokemon Rescue (IPR) is not known by many officials of the International League. Started in 1989, the International Pokemon Rescue is a squad of professionals, trained to deal with disasters all over the world, natural or otherwise.
Not many International League Officials are told about the IPR, but the only one told without fail is the International Champion. It is by the order of the International Champion alone that the IPR are allowed to do as they will.

The members of the IPR are revealed to even less people than the actual existence of the organization. Not even the International Champion will know their identity, unless a member should wish it. The IPR combines the might of humans, Pokemon, and machines.

The machines themselves are alone a technological marvel. Their size alone can stop many disasters from happening, but they are equipped with equipment that is 50 years ahead of the rest of the ordinary world.
The machines are each shaped to help with a certain disaster or accident:

IPR1, or Articuno. Shaped after the mythical bird of ice, this machine can generate a beam of such cold that it can freeze a Tidal Wave in its tracks, or clog the entrance of a volcano. This machine is smaller than the rest, and much more agile.

IPR2, or Gaios. Made with the legend of Earth, Gaios, in mind, this machine is capable of effortlessly drilling underground, durable enough to withstand a rock slide and made so that it can resist the heat of molten rock. However, it is one of the larger of the machines, and harder to manoeuvre.

IPR3, or Ho-oh, this is one of the more powerful of the machines, packing explosives enough to crack through the Tectonic Plate and into the Mantle of the Earth. It is of middling size, but also contains a rescue platform to help besieged individuals.

IPR4, or Suicune, this is a one-man submarine, equipped to go deep underwater, and also rescue people from sinking ships, or in other such scenarios. Because of it’s small size, it is relatively fast, but lacking in space to hold much equipment.

IPR5, or Celestrial, this machine is essentially a space-station, with fire-power enough to stop meteors, asteroids and other such space-artefacts. Because of the low-chance of meteors and asteroids, this machine doubles as a weather-satellite, keeping an eye out natural disasters for the other machines to help with.

And the final, IPR6, or Rayquaza. This machine is design to stay up in the air for months at a time. Mostly used for troubled airplanes and errant balloons, it can also be used to help rescue people from mountain-tops, and, if need be, go into Outer-Space for problems with rockets.

Great care goes towards these machines, known to the common world as the Myths, but even greater care goes towards their pilots, and their pilot’s Pokemon. Very few individuals can become a Myth, as the applicants must undergo the most strenuous security procedures, stand being looked at by the strongest psychic Pokemon to ensure that they are not traitors. But people actually applying to be a Myth cannot be found easily, as they must be recommended by the World Leaders, and after which, the International Champion.
Given that, once they make it, they perform the most extraordinary events, and have the greatest adventures in our world.

Letter addressed to newest International Champion, 2005 A.P.W.

Hey guys. I came up with this idea while watching Thunderbirds, as you can probably tell. After I wrote this down, I decided to post this here. As you can say, this is a job-offer.
What I'm looking for is five other authors willing to supply a character, and then work in usion with the other five to write down the stories of the Myths. I have already got a claim on IPR1, the Articuno, but if anyone else is interested, post back!

C yas!
