Once I saw the preview commerical of BW during the airing of Movie 11 and 13, I was quite psyched. Iris' voice in the dub is pretty cool! And with Giovanni and Team Rocket coming into play, I'm really looking forward to Black and White!

Still not liking how Sarah "rounds out" alot of her words. ("Pogemon", Pigachu etc.) But it's alright still.

Iris's voice sounds even better than I imagined it would sound. I mean, it's awesome. For the longest I was wondering what they were gonna end up doing with her voice in the dub but they nailed it. She sounds annoying- in that 'lovable' sorta way, if that makes any sense.

Did they dub Pidove's voice? If they did it was unnecessary. I don't think Mamepato says its name on the original. Whatever, I like what I'm hearing.

When she says, "I'm Iris," it does sound exactly like May's voice did at the start of Battle Frontier. Even the same tone.

Maybe May and Iris are twin sisters who were separated at birth? I think she sounded like TPCI's version of May at first, but then she sounded sort of like 4Kids' version of May when Pikachu shocked her. I really don't think the voice is "bad" per se, but it'll take some getting used to. Also, I am so glad that Ted is voicing Giovanni in BW! I missed him so much, but it's nice to see him back where he belongs. I'm wondering if TPCI will still give Team Rocket some odd lines in BW. I know they're supposed to be serious, but I can't see that making it into the dub intact; I'm just waiting to hear them bust a rhyme.

I always thought Iris' voice would be more high pitched due to how young she was, but I guess not.

Its not a good thing when a new character has a similar voice to an old. Hopefully whoever played Iris changes her tone a bit or else her voice will pretty much be May 2.0.

I don't hear ANY of May's voice in Iris...if anything, May's voice sounded deeper than what Iris'

Listen to anytime May says, "Hi, I'm May," in the dub, and then listen to Iris saying, "I'm Iris," it sounds very similar.

Maybe when we hear more lines she'll sound different...

Iris doesn't really sound like May to me - but that might just be not hearing May for so, so long.

Darn I quoted the wrong post, oh well I fixed it, somewhat lazily.

Anyway Iris sounds absolutely nothing like May (any version), if anything May sounded like Dawn, I swear when May and Dawn interacted with each other in the Tag Battle restaurant episode, I could not tell the difference between the two at all.

However Iris sounds very different than Dawn, which means she sounds nothing like May.

Unless it's saying "dove, dove, dove, etc" than it really doesn't sound like its saying "Pidove" at all. So I have to agree, the change was completely unnecessary. I mean Pidgey, Pidgeotto, Pidgeot got to keep their original voices, and Ash's Mamepato, sounded bird like, I can't see why it was changed at all.

I don't hear any of May at all in her voice. She definitely sounds REALLY familiar though. Her voice actress probably did a bunch of COD's or something at the very least. So far I like it. I can't wait to hear Dent's though.
