peaple have been lining up for days just to buy a ps3 or a nintendo wii but their all going to sell it on ebay any way would you sleep on a sidewalk for a few days to get a system all i know is get it boxing day!!

Do a search on eBay for PS3's and then ask this question. =/

On average, each PS3 is selling for (at the minimum) over one-thousand USD. With the original price only six-hundred USD, that's a profit of about four-hundred dollars. Some sytems are selling for much more, though. No matter what, if you're selling a PS3, you're garunteed to make a profit. (If you don't have an outrageous starting price, that is.)

Depends how big of a gamer you are...I wish I couldv'e waited in line, but you know school and sutff. I don't think people are lining up for a Wii, because there are going to be a lot more that the PS3

Waiting is line is a waste of time. Just get the system later, its not worth standing in a long line for days when the system will be back in two weeks. Also the guy that go shot was in the state I live in, Connecticut. I saw him on the news, he had wanted to buy his kid the PS3 without him knowing. Good thing the guy wasn't killed.

I tend to avoid launches nowadays. Seeing how I'm not a kid anymore, I feel no social or satisfactory pressure to get a system at launch these days.

I suppose it also has something to do with games I want not being launch titles as well.

Go figure.

Wrong! People are lining up for the Wii, about an hour ago I saw about 7 tents in front of best buy waiting for them to open tomarrow. Got to play the PS3 while I was there

I wouldn't wait outside a store overnight just to get a ps3 or game or any console, mostly because i can wait till prices drop a bit afterwards diamond and pearl is the only game i want as soon as it comes out in english but i still wouldn't sleep out on the sidewalk just for that.

No, I'd pre-order it so I can pick it up at my leisure instead of camping out in the cold for hours/days. Having said that though, the place I've preordered my Wii from wont be open at midnight, can I wait or will I have to go and find a 24 hour supermarket that's stocking them? Either way, I wouldn't camp out for days in the middle of November for something I wont even be gaurenteed of getting when I can get it for sure in a few weeks, or in my case, a few hours via pre-order.

Standing in line is for nerds/people addicted to games. I get it after 2 months or so after the launch (i always buy nintendo so i don't have problems finding the console XD). Nintendo should have a new slogan: "So cheap and cool that waiting in line and killing for it is just a plus" lol
