Is it just me or...

...is this game a lot easier than it used to be?

I knew that Brock had pokemon that were levels 12 and 14, so I raised my entire team to level 10 and went to face him.

His Geodude only used Defense Curl, and his Oinx only used Bind. If he was just going to do that, he should of just handed me the badge and saved us both the trouble. His Camper gave me a harder fight

Then we go to Route 3, which was always pretty easy. But I was knocking them down and taking names. before, I needed to go back after every 2-3 battles, but this time, I could have probably done the entire route without trouble (I went back once to be safe).

It could be because I'm a lot more expirienced than I was back then, but I think they made the game easier.

Well, it may be because you've played R/B/Y and know what to expect. It also might be like you said, you're more experienced. But do remember that the second time through the E4 in FR/LG, is MUCH tougher. Not too tough though.

I know Brock did the same thing to me. I was like so Brock thinking of retiring yet? It seams like Game Freak is making each game easyer then the last one.

Untrue, okay there are some parts which are easier (eg, Rock Tunnel and Victory Road) but the Elite Four are a much better team, especially after beating them twice

Maybe with the edition of EVs? That going on if you trained on Nidorans. That is...lol.

I found Misty tough. It was near impossible for me to train Pikachu until he's level 26 due to my low patience, and to be honest, Thundershock just isn't enough to knock it out.

E4 was okay after I taught Blastoise Ice Beam. I passed the first 3 with my Butterfree.

I find that it is easiest if you have pikachu take out staryu, then use a gloom to absorb/resist starmie's water pulse. you can get a gloom by evolving oddish at level 21.

I'm not worried about Misty. I have both Pikachu and Bulbasaur at my side.

I found FR/LG easy because I played R/B/Y loads. Though Misty was tough if using Pikachu at lv22.

How did you do that? Your Butterfree must've been a high level, knew a good water move, pyschic move, electric move to do all that.

Indeed. It was level 70+ and it was the highest level Pokemon in my team. I managed solo my butterfree and beat Agatha and Bruno easily, and I beat Lorelei in conjunction with my Primeape.

Seriously, sleep powder + Compound eyes is Godly.

FR/LG are easy now because of playing R/B/Y. I have no problems in these games.

What starter did you have? o_O Sounds like you suck.

Brock is easy as pie. If you struggle with charmander, it's not too hard to evolve at that point.

I think it was easieer this time bvecause i knbew my way around kanto. And I started with charmander and had no problem beating brock and misty, well it did help that i had traded over a treecko and mudkip from my sapphire. XD

I used a lv 17 Charmeleon before I took on Brock. Not that I thought I couldn't do it, he just leveled up fast.

This game is the easiest cause you get the vs seeker, plus you can get it without even battling misty yet. I had my venusaur at lvl 40 when i went against misty just by using the vs seeker. I had a lvl 40 venusaur and the rest lvl 37, the others are Golem,Gyarados,Gloom, Nidoqueen, and Nidoking
