To be able to trade Sapphire with Leafgreen without having to have Ruby? Because I heard you have to do A certain task inn LG to be able to traid Sapphire with LG. So... yeah... Thanks in advance! :)

Yes, it is possible. All you would have to do is complete both games, get the national dex, and fix the machine in LeafGreen. You don't need Ruby to do that, but you will need an ample amount of time! :p

However, you will need the Ruby, an item on... One Island. You'll also need the Sapphire, an item you get after you encounter the researcher on Six Island. He steals the Sapphire and you have to follow him to Five Island and go into the Rocket Hideout and beat him.

Wow this'll take a looong time!

Yep...enjoy! :D

Oh, good point, T Lord...I hadn't thought that the ruby and sapphire needed to fix the machine might be misleading--it has nothing to do with Ruby and Sapphire, the games. Hope it helps, Nicole.

Ok, one more thing.... is the National Dex when you see every Pokémon? Or do you have to catch them all? And is there a trick to be able to see evry Pokémon?

OK,

1. You'll get the national dex after you beat the Elite Four...talk to the game's "professor" and you'll get it.
2. There's no trick to see all the pokemon, but you will need all the GBA games, you will need to go to Nintendo events, and you'll need to wait until Mew becomes available....my point is, just catch all the ones you can and enjoy the games!

Thanks! Sorry... I have 1 more question -_-

Where is the Game's "Professor"

Professor Oak and Professor Birch...if you don't know who they are...I suggest just playing the game at this point. You'll meet them pretty quickly! :D

Good to hear...how much of the games have you actually played?

amulekbird, you're obviously confusing Pokemon Sapphire with Pokemon Emerald.
To trade between Pokemon Sapphire and Pokemon Leaf Green, you need to have obtained the Ruby and Sapphire in Pokemon Leaf Green and given them both to Celio so that he can fix the Network Machine. You do not need to have beaten the Elite Four on Pokemon Sapphire.
When you trade between the games for a Pokemon that is not in the Hoenn Pokedex, your Pokedex in Pokemon Sapphire will automatically upgrade to a National Pokedex.

TP, really? That's not how I remember it, but I haven't played Sapphire or Ruby in a while. I'll have to check that out.

You should post this in the Leafgreen/firered forum, but what the hey, yea get the saphire shard and the ruby shard and fix the machineto trade
