Is it worth getting a chicorita with frenzy plant

help

Wi-fi name is Spice
I know on emerald if you complete your hoenn pokedex you can choose one of the 3 johto starters and it will know frenzy plant for chicorita, blast burn for cyndaquil, and hydro cannon for totodile, but is it really worth all the trouble for only one of them. Should I waste my time or not.

depends how much you want it. if i were you i would not but i am not you.

Wait, don't the Johto starters only get the elemental hyper beams on XD after you clear Mt. Battle? 'Cause I don't think my Totodile knows hydro cannon...

Well, if you have XD you can get them...if you don't, then don't bother buying it for the sole purpose of the beams.
They aren't good attacks.

The elemental beams, along with Hyper beam, in my opinion, are a complete waste of time. But if you want them for novelty value, by all means, get 'em... if you're bored enough to go through all the trouble. XP

If you need a filler move, then by all means use them. They're not worth using ALL the time, but they're a fun way to take down the last member of an enemy team.
Especially if there's a type weakness involved. ;)

As Geodude has already said, well worth it for the Pokemon but not for the move. The three elemental beams along with Hyper Beam will always be shafted because of the recharge turn.

I got my Meganium, Typhlosion and Feraligatr on Colosseum anyway.

yeah, otherwise I'd have a Chikorita with frenzy plant, but the reason i want it is because it also comes with ancientpower, which will fry a few fire/flying types.

The only Elemental beam I would propably use would be Blast Burn on a Physical sweeper Charizrd:
Dragon Dance
Aerial Ace
Earthquake
Blast Burn(although I prefer fire blast or Overheat)

I would use it just because it is a Very powerfull fire type move that would kill an ice or steel Pokemon.

I think the elemental beams are ok... But i dont think they should be used all the time. Just use them on the last battle for the fun of it.
