Is it worth training another Skarmory?

I recently started my Pokemon Emerald over again, and until I beat the game, I usually don't ev train. (there are too many pokemon I can't avoid battling against anyway with the gym leaders and trainers all over)

So my current Skarmory has scattered evs. I'm not sure where they all ended up but at level 34 it has the following stats:

HP: 93
ATK: 73
DEF: 113
SATK: 33
SDEF: 71
SPD: 62

It has a careful nature. How much (do you think) that I could improve on these if I just started over training a new one and can anyone make a guess at where the ev's mostly ended up on this one? This is the first time I've ever trained a Skarmory so I'm really not sure.

Well, I'll need the Skarmory's nature first of all. But you're right, EV training would help a ton. That Defense rating looks like it's been traumatized.

Careful nature. Sadly, this one actually had the highest defense out of like 30 of them when I hatched it. *cries* I'm a Skarmory wrecker. I'm really not sure what happened to it. It's been gaining at least 3 or 4 defense when it grows a level, too.

Edit: Oh, and thank you. <3

In that case, I suppose that EV training would help a lot. Go with 200 HP, 240 Def, and 68 Atk. Also, you want an Impish nature on a Skarmory as its purpose never was to shield Special attacks.

Well, you do have the SkarmBliss strategy with many alternatives to Blissey in case you ever need to switch. You also could just use Whirlwind, but you'll need quite a few Spd. EVs if that's about to work against Electric types.

Magneton is really the only thing that scares me. And among my small circle of friends that I battle with, it's pretty popular just for the purpose of killing Skarmory.

Somewhat unrelated: And if I can ever /find/ my FireRed, I'll trade over my Blissey someday. I have a GS but I've always been too afraid to use it directly on a game. My poor data. I can't find that either though. I swear, my games and stuff are disappearing into an alternate dimension.

That sucks. =(

Well, Magneton has a ton of counters. I suppose I could start by naming any Pokemon that can outspeed it with Earthquake within its movepool.

Well. That's pretty much anything, then. I'm going to go and bicycle back and forth with my slugma and a whole bunch of eggs for several hours now. Thanks a lot.
