Is my friend a cheater?

Ypu could easily pummel Misdreavus with two sweepers before it get's a chance to sing the perish song, so no, your friend is not cheating at all.

One good strategy has to be beaten by an even better one. Hey, your friend wasn't cheating, he was just using the pokemon's abilities to their full advantage. Sure you may have your two favorite pokemon used for a double battle, however, that just means you need to change things up. Once you've figured out a way (or two) to surpass his strategy, he'll figure out that he'll have to do the same. Be a good pokemon trainer by thinking of multiple strategies. If he does change his strategy (and beats you), then you must find a new strategy that can outdue his new one, aswell as his old one (because he may go back to his old ways).

YOur friend would be a cheater if he made Wobbuffet haev Metronome ar hacked stats. Don't ask me why I mentioned that. You don't want to know what i do in the game, but not against a real person like my cousin for example

Leaving SPPF! G'bye!
Cheap and unfair strategy, but no cheating.

I used perish song to beat the psychic gym in sapphire. That was FUN!

I think it's a nice and inventive tactic! It's things like that that can add a whole new level to the game. It forces you to think up your own tactics to combat theirs, and perhaps even create one that places him or her in the same seemingly hopeless situation that you once found yourself in.

Out of Pokemon.
It doesn't mean he's cheating, it just means he's a jerk.

My solution: Stop being friends with him. Or break his GBA.

This my friends, is what we call a sore loser.

And that's not cheating. That is a good stratagy.

You're just a sore loser. Stop complaining just because your friend has better tactics than you.

Whoa girl, that was harsh.

The only thing I do now for cheating is haev unlimited Masterballs, make POkemon Egg codes so they all have metronome, and i get unlimited Lucky eggs so its easier to level them up

Obviously he's not cheating, unless he hacked the fact that he beat you. It's not really a hard strategy to beat. Just get gengar and Sub-Punch the Exploud, or get your own Pokemon with Shadow Tag or Arena Trap. Better yet, Just use Crobat and Gengar. Have crobat use mean look on Misdreavus, and if Wobuffet switches out into Exploud, have Gengar Skill Swap soundproof. If Wobuffet doesn't switch out, hit it with a Ghost or Dark attack Like Shadow Ball.

Insanely Awesome
Umm... Weird question but... Why can't you switch out when he switches his wobuffet out? Can't you switch during the turn that he switches it back in, or does he always get wobbuffet out before you can switch? What determines whoever switches out first anyway?

no i dont think your "friend" :wink wink: is cheating at all. it's an excellent stategy actually! actually a way to block this is to use a pokemon with the ability shadow tag or the move mean look.

He uses this combo every time:

Double Battle:
Misdreavus + Wobbuffet

Wobbuffet switches with Exploud

Misdreavus uses Perish song

Exploud blocks it with sound proof

Perish fell to 3

yadda yadda for 1 more turn

Misdreavus switches for Wobbuffet

I try to switch but can't, and 2 Pokemon die.

He is so cheating and I KNOW IT!!

YOU ARE SUCH A SORE LOSER!!!! Just cause your friend Outsmarted you doesnt mean he cheated. Unless he used a cheating device to tamper with his pokemon then he didnt cheat.

Hows he a jerk? Just cause he outsmarted him? Why dont you start a "Lets call people jerks because they outsmarted us" Club.

He is not a cheater. it sounds like he is using cheap but powerful stratagies. My advice- Increase your pkmn's speed to as high as you can. once he uses perish song switch all your pkmn out immediatly. Have a pkmn with powerful dark type moves and high speed stats go out first to wipeout Misdreaveous. And if you can always battle 1 vs. 1 when agaisnt him. and if he uses perish song you'll only lose one pokemon.

Edit- thanks 4 the strategy- i should practice that 4 wifi battling

It's not cheating. It sounds like a very good strategy.
I'm gonna try it out in the Battle Frontier and see how it works out. :p
