    Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
    Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future

I know I should not butt in in that shaymin issue... What if the owner has a Japanese Platinum but English Patched... R4 or DSTT... Would that be still considered hack... What if the owner of it has the Oak Letter from the Japanese Wifi Event but he decided to catch after May 11? Just a theory though... I'm still confirming mine in page 101 of this thread T_T

It's hacked. Faraway island Mews can only be Japanese.

That could be the date that the Mew was imported. Overall, it's appears to be a legit Faraway Island Mew. However, there's no legitimate way of checking.

I already did the whole event information research and they match up perfectly with what they're non-shiny counterparts are. I'm just curious as to whether or not they can legally be shiny.

Id is 37564
States that it was gotton by a fateful encounter at level 50 and it was because of the pokemon movie 07 on June 30 2007

Yes, they can. However, rumor has it that in order for a GBA event Pokemon to be shiny it has have a certain nature. I'm not entirely sure about this, though.

I have general question about the GTS.

-I've noticed some pokemon have a different pic then it's supposed to. (random possible ie. search for a rattata and one has a pic of... Entei) would that be a glitch or POSSIBLE HACK?

That's a glitch, all you have to do is nickname the Rattata "Entei" then when it shows up in the GTS it'll have a picture of entei instead of rattata.

I managed to nab a Shiny Shaymin off of the GTS, can anyone help and tell me if it's legit or not?
Also, I don't know if it matters or not, but this particular Shaymin did unlock the Gracidea Flower in my game.
And, the Pokédex number is written in red, as well. After looking at the rest of my Pokémon, I noticed that none of the rest of them had the number and name written in bright red like this.

All Shiny Pokemon have their number written in red, as well as having a red star next to their image in their summary. Also, if you play as female character, your OT will be colored red instead of blue....
