It's legit, it's possible to hatch one.

Cool...I know you can hatch one, but it's hard, and that's why I wondered about if it was legit or not...

I didn't think about that the link don't work for others than me...

Its hacked actually, and heres the reason why.

The ranger manaphy egg has to be transferred to a Diamond or Pearl game first.

When thats done, it will say that its from "Pokemon Ranger", in the location section.

However, it can never be shiny on the game you transfer it to, because of the way that its coded, it can only be shiny on different games to those that it was originally transferred to.

So you need to trade it to another game, this is where you can tell its hacked.

When a manaphy egg(or any egg) is traded to another game, the location changes to "Link Trade".

Therefore the shiny manaphy is hacked.

I'll wait for someone else to back me up on the first fact(that it can't be shiny on the game its firstly transferred to), but i know for a fact that when a manaphy egg(or any egg for that matter) is traded to another game it changes to link trade, as i did it ages ago.

If you trade the egg from Diamond to Platinum then it will say;

LINK TRADE
EGG OBTAINED

*This is what a legit Shiny Manaphy must have in its "received from" location*

However, If you just trade the manaphy after its already hatched, It will still say;

EGG OBTAINED

*Any Shiny Manaphy with the above is hacked.*

It looks legit.

(Notice that Platinum was out on September 13, 2008 in Japan, and the date is Sept. 28 2008. Looks like they might have used the cheat to get the Oak's Letter and go catch Shaymin and SR for it as soon as they finished the game. I know you can change the date on the DS, but still, just pointing that out.)

In the case the person hacked to get the Oak's Letter, it doesn't means the Shaymin is hacked, since they could have SRed for it.

GBA events usually come in Poke Balls, not Cherish Balls like DS events

I think Alloute meant that they are usually in Pokemon balls, except those event that unlock an area in your game, thus making it "usually."
