It's a mystery.
I traded a Dragonite for an Entei last night & am wondering if it's hacked or not.

I'm pretty sure this Jirachi is hacked, but I want to make sure.

Nickname: It's in Japanese
OT: Japanese
OT Gender: Red
ID: 00546
EVs (if known/estimated):
IVs (if known/calculated):
Nature: Lonely
Characteristic: Mischievous
Ability: Serene Grace
Moves: Wish, Confusion, Rest, Swift
Current Level: 18
Level Caught at: Arrived at Lv. 5
Location received: Kanto

Pokeball caught in: Master Ball

The Entei is legit, because 'Faraway Place' means it came from HGSS.

But the Jirachi is definitely hacked. Jirachi is only obtained through events (as well as from the English Colosseum bonus disc and from Pokemon Channel) and that it is usually in a Pokeball, not Master Ball. Lastly, I believe it's unobtainable in Kanto.

and you don't have Master Ball by the time you catch it.
... You can go back and battle it again somewhere else if you KO it, and this time happens AFTER you get the Master Ball.

And there's the Ball cloning trick that lets you use your Master Ball infinite times.

Hmmm... the only thing that I'm curious about besides the usage of a Master Ball and the level that it arrived/was caught at is the OT's ID, since that's actually the highest ID number anyone can have (and that ID number is usually used when hackers try to obtain an OT's ID number that is 99999, which is impossible). Ehhh... I'd rather see what the others say about this one before I confirm or change my opinions. :/

Hacked. It can't be in a masterball if it's bred. (In RSE, eggs are hatched at Level 5).

I know it's already proven hacked, but I'd like to point out that Pokesav often glitches and changes the ID# to 65535. If you have any pokemon with that ID and are unsure about its legitimacy, it's likely hacked.

How is 65535 a glitched ID? The only glitch I know of is ? ? ? ? ? or 0 0 0 0 0 which isn't necessarily a failure of Pokesav but more a failure with an AR code. Some people try to "blacklist" a OT/ID# out of a personal vendetta, so I'd be wary before claiming something like that.

I was trying to get a pokemon's ID to 55555 once, and every time I put it into the AR it came out as 65535. I don't know why it did that.. But then it worked for a different pokemon. And then it went to 65535 for another pokemon. You could probably get 65535 as an ID in a game, but pokesav just likes that number.

Without more evidence than that, it's far more likely a personal error on your part and/or an error with the Action Replay. There's no reason to think 65535 is a ID for hacks.

I've seen it many time before on hacked pokemon. And there's some significance, I think. It's two to the sixteenth minus one. The largest number it can hold or something. Maybe the hacker put in 90000 and the game reset it to the largest value possible.

65535 is the highest ID number possible. It is the most common hack ID aswell.

When someone inputs 99999 as the Pokemon's Trainer ID in PokeSav, it changes to 65535.

I am sure you know since you are a member of Project Pokemon ;)

Want more proof? Try doing it yourself. That's it.

That doesn't changes the fact 65535 is possible without hacking.

Every Pokemon so far with 65535 is hacked.

The chances of finding a legit Pokemon with 65535 is way too slim.
That STILL doesn't changes the fact 65535 is not an hack indication.
Did you notice the reason why this Kingdra was hacked is it's location + Pokéball, not it's ID?

Oi...This was never about the Kingdra, we had like 3 people including you who identified it's flaw...

I am not arguing about the Kingdra, just the ID that randomspot believes is a legit ID...

It is an ID you must look out for. That's all.
