You should probably point out that there is no such thing as a "perfect hack". All hacked Pokemon can be detected with the right devices. It's just that the general public can't get ahold of those devices. An example: If you insert a Pokemon cartrage into an AR and then save while it's insereted, then the game save will now say that the save file has been altered, even if you didn't use any codes. The only way to remove that data would be to factory reset the game. Can any publicly avalible "hack checker" do that? Nintendo made the games, don't you think that they would know the coding well enough to be able to detect anything that's been altered?

Action Replay isn't the only way to hack. It's likely the most common, but that's it. Yes, I'm well aware of the AR flagging on the game cartridge. And in a Nintendo tournament consisting of mainly young children, that's probalbly the only form of hacking that they're able to handle.

But simply put, hacking is based off of the various algorithms and game mechanics in the game. If those are followed, they do generate perfect hacks that are indifferent than something generated in the game.

This doesn't mean those Nintendo hack check devices can't detect the use of a flashcart, but even still, the solution is trading it to another cart that hasn't been touched by an AR or flash cart.

And then of course there's the popular "egg coming from 2 hacked parents". Even though it may be considered a hack (the egg) by some, it's indistinguishable from any legit obtained egg. And assuming an AR never touched the cartridge, or if it did, the egg was transferred to another cart, there's no way it would be detected as such.

It's also interested in how you worded it. Yes, if one loaded up their ALAMOS Darkrai and then changed it to a shiny Darkrai, that's easily detectable. But if you generate from scratch and hatch it as an egg, then there's not much to trace it back too unless, as previously mentioned, those devices can check for use of flash carts.

I'll try to explain this in a simple way to make it easy to understand for both of us. A Pokemon is made up of numbers (data). When you use an AR or something like that, it inputs the numbers itself (a good hacker will put the correct amount of numbers in). The problem is that the numbers were put in (pretty much forsed in). That would make them noticable. Just like if you edit a text document the says "Hello" to "HeUllo". You might not be able to see it, but the data says that there was a "U" put in and when/where/how it was put in. It works that way for all computer files, if something is edited, then it can be seen that it's edited.
And I agree that a Pokemon with hacked parants can't be detected.

And in a Nintendo tournament consisting of mainly young children, that's probalbly the only form of hacking that they're able to handle.

About 80% of the people there were over 20.

EDIT: After re-reading your post, it seems that you think that the flag is the only way of checking. That isn't the case, I could hack and create an egg to my Diamond, trade it to my Pearl, enter a tornament with that Pearl and it would still be detected.

I once heard of someone that found 2 shiny Geodude in a row. It is technically possible to find 2 shinies in a row, though very unlikely.
