Is Skarmory the new Fearow/Spearow?

Meowth says in "Delibird's Dilema" that it's a bad idea to wake up a sleeping Skarmory, a Skarmory steals the last bit of food from him and Wobbuffett in "Camp Pikachu", kidnaps Azaumaril in "Pikachu's Summer Festival" and whenever encountered in the wild, is treated with as much caution and fear as a Beedrill.

CyberCubed

Yeah, ok!
Ever since AG started, Skarmory has been crawling out of the woodwork like nobodies business. It just doesn't disappear, it keeps coming back!

I've always hated how they've treated Fearow. So what if it's name means "demon drill", that doesn't mean it has to be constantly evil. Yet it is. A rather shallow image for the poor Pokemon.

I remember the episode with the carrier Pidgey in the beginning with the one being attacked by a Fearow. I was chanting "eat him, eat him, eat him".

Anyway, back on topic. Yeah, Skarmory has become the new random Pokemon plot device. Which is sad, it's supposed to be so rare but so versatile and yet it's common as dirt and only good for screwing up our hero's adventures.

Pure

back.
And what's ironic is after all that they left behind of Johto. (they almost eradicated it after the seasons ended) Skarmory is still as annoying as ever.

Don't forget that an Airmd also kidnapped Haruka and her Eneko, and another Airmd also distracted Odamaki-Hakase to the point where he almost ran his jeep into Ookido-Hakase's cart.

Yeah, they seem to be pesky little buggers...but since Onisuzume and Onidrill can't be found in the Houen region, I guess they needed a replacement.

I'd say the swarm of Beedrill is more used then Skarmory

Maybe Skarmory is,but then again, in Hoenn there was no Pidgey or Fearow in the wild.

I have a theory i've been cookin' up that skarmory is a second evolution for spearow!

Beleive in Miracles, because they beleive in you!
Or skarmory could have a new pre-evo that would make it like the new fearow (I like fearow)

Jigglypuff's rare too, but it keeps showing up. When I questioned this, I got the answer that one jigglypuff was following the gang. Maybe a skarmory is following them.

Don't forgot, a Skarmory wa sone of the steel Pokemon that kept attacking Torkoal in the episode where Ash caught Torkoal, but there is a good skarmory somewhere, Oh! Winona, her Skarmory wasn't evil wa sit? And there was another girl I believe with a Skarmory who wasn't bad either..

Since when has "not being found in Hoenn" stopped the anime crew? I distinctly remember them having all sorts of Pokemon in Hoenn that shouldn't have been there...

Winona's Skarmory wasn't at all evil. As for the other Skarmory trainer her name was Mickey and yes she was pretty awesome.

I guess they made skarmory seem evil because then its personallity and actions would fit its sort of mean looks. The anime writers might give the pokemon a personality which would fit its expression in the official artwork.
