Is the nature of your pokemon VERY important?

I have a blastoise, lapras, pigeot, electabuzz, butterfree and arcanine in my fire red game! They are all lax, calm and relaxed nature! I found out that different natures have better stats. So, I was wondering whether that the nature of the pokemon affects my pokemon in a battle...

Yes they do. If you put a Calm Lapras beside a Rash Lapras (assuming they have both been raised in exactly the same way and that both are at lv. 100), you will realise that they have different stats. Natures make some stats go up and some go down. Which is why my Gardevoir, when it was a Kirlia, had higher Attack than Special attack. =)).

All Natures raise one stat by 10% and lower another stat by 10% (except for the five "neutral" Natures, which raise and lower the SAME stat by 10% so there's no stat change at all).

Here's the list:

It makes a difference if you're battling competetively, but in-game it's not really a big deal.

it makes a big diffence if you had timid nature as a example that raises speed and lowers attack like the Iv's of the pokemon

I don't care much about my pokemos natures
If it a Adamant nature Aggron, good or is it Timid nature Aggron whatever.

I also don't care about natures, I just catch a Pokémon and train him, I don't know the natures of my pokes.

Isn't it cute ^^
Natures are good for EV training, I usually don't care of the nature in the first place because I always breed my pokémon before raising the baby, so I can breed moves, it just takes a while before you get a good natured pokémon hatched.

It depends on the pokemon, if your going to use it for physical attacks, Adamant or Jolly; or if it's a special sweeper, then Modest or Timid

Natures are crucial if you want to make a good team.Natures can make or break you. It's not hard to get a good nature on a Pokemon.

Natures are something that makes your pokemon differant I find it sickening that some people will only train some pokemon with a certain nature. When people do this they have truely lost there way

or they're smart enough to play the poke to its strengths.

if you want to play competitively, or succeed in places like the Battle Frontier, knowing your natures is a must.

Consider it like this. Only wanting one of a certain nature is like buying pets and just letting them go till you get one who acts the way you like. Natures are the differant ways your pokemon act like people differant pokemon have differant natures

And as for competative battling I would never get involved in something like that any way, it currenatly repulses me all they care about is things like good "OU Sweepers" and think of there pokemon as nothing but machines.
