Hero of Legend
Advanced Missingno.
I swear I read in a source that I can't remember at the moment, that the PS3 that they showed at E3 2005 wasn't the final design, which is good because the design is crap, especially the controller!

Sony took what they learned from Nintendo and created the Playstation.
So you're right, Z. The Sony Compony ARE winy, little brats that always steals Nintendo's ideas!
...You have NO idea what you're talking about. Sony was trying to help Nintendo develop the Playstation as a CD add-on. Nintendo backed out of that idea (anyone would after having seen CD failures like the Sega CD) and gave Sony money to help develop their own console. Sony was also partially responsible for the Super Famicom/Super Nintendo.Butchimatic said:Sony used to be part of Nintendo until they split up in like 1994.

Edward Elric said:Technically, it's only ripping off when it's exactly the same. Sony's just been using the ideas Nintendo's had and upping them.
Let's not forget, Sony wasn't the only one to dive into using analog stick. To combat Nintendo and Sony, Sega jumped in with a controller with an analog stick included with NiGHTS into Dreams for the Sega Saturn. And technically, Nintendo used the idea from the ol' Atari systems, which were the first consoles to use joysticks.
As I mentioned before, though. Sony upping the ideas are as follows:
-Playstation took the design of the SNES controller and reshaped it to be more comfortable and added more buttons that were actually used in the games.
-N64 had one analog stick, Playstation had two.
-N64 had a seperate plug-in rumble pack, Playstation had a built in rumbling controller.
You are right, though. Sega didn't have rumble pack installed into their controllers or more than one analog stick. The standard controller for the Saturn had a D-Pad until NiGHTS into Dreams came out with a controller that had an analog stick. The Dreamcast had a "rumble pack" of its own that was similar to the N64 one in the sense that it plugged into the controller and didn't work with every game.
