Is there any way to get a rare candy after the elite 4? it said there is one in the smeargle cave, but i didn't find one

yes i have done it many times i tend to do this method only when i am hatching eggs though so i actually accomplish two things

ahhhh dont think rare candies are that great altohugh i use them when i cant be asked to train sometihng the ladt few levels

you can find tons of rare candys in the wild.. just use the item finder or zizagoon and try and find it then.. also dont forget the cloning glitch

Your best bet if you have emerald,clone.

its tuff to find one but if you havent done any of the trick house challenges near slateport city you can do that and get one rare candy.
