Is there an easy way to catch heracross?

Has anyone devised a decent way of getting a heracross. i've been in and out of the safari zone and still no hearcross.
Any tips would be nice.

Put some bug pokemon infront of your team. I never tried it out but it might work

This belongs in R/S/E Discussion, but I'll answer it anyway.

Once you find Heracross, don't do anything except throw Safari Balls. It's a lot easier in the long run.

I believe its also in certain sections only.

Buy LG or FR and it will be really easy.

If you have Emerald, Ruby or Sapphire just be persistant and eventually you will catch it(just dont use food or stones)

That's in FR/LG. The thread maker's talking about in R/S/E in the Safari Zone, although it is much easier to get Heracross in the Pattern Bush.

Depends on what game are you trying to get it.

In Emerald: try having Pokemons winth the abilities Pressure and Arena Trap, it makes Wild PKMN more common

But their out-of-battle abilities' effects apply, because they remain in your team.

First off, it's very rare. Secondly, you'll need to go to the area that you can only get to using the Acro Bike. Once you're there hop up and down on the spot using the Acro Bike, so you don't use any steps up. When you eventually find a Heracross just throw lots of Safari Balls at it.
Alternatively you could buy Fire Red or Leaf Green and catch one in Pattern Bush, or buy Colloseum and snag it from there.

Why not catch a Heracross on Fire Red, or leaf Green? It appears at Pattern Bush at the sevii islands somewhere. Then you can trade it to R/S/E!

You could try looking in the right section of the Safari Zone.
If you're looking in the wrong place then of course you won't find one!!

You can also buy Colosseum and catch it there. Then breed for the stats you want.

I don't know about capturing it but to give yourself more time you could use the sweet scent/Illuminate tricks to gain move encounters.

thanks for all yer help guys. i finally caught a male and female (females were harder to catch >_<) and now im just breeding until i get an adamant one. i also have jolly, but preferebly, i would like an adamant one. cheers folks

some pokemon have the attract bug ability but that doesn mean that it attract every bug pokemons!

just try some more
