Is this the berry glitch?

Hi
I turned on my emerald game around a month after buying and playing. It came up with the message "The internal battery has run dry. You can still play but time based events will no longer occur." I wondered if this is the berry glitch as I cant grow berries. Please help.

No, it's the internal battery, obviously. Berry Glitch happens after a year, and you're not told of it.

The internal battery thing? You explained it in your first post. Berry Glitch? It happens after a year, all time-based things are stopped.

You have to send your cartridge to nintendo to fix it but it will erase your saved file.

so you will need pokemon box on the GC to save all your pokemon and items.

Or,

you press Select + B on the menu of your FireRed/LeafGreen, and connect the cable to the GBA that has Emerald on it. It will fix the berry glitch.

It was already mentioned it wasn't the berry glitch.

It doesn't matter if you live in England, NOE will fix it.

Finally, Colo works for storing pokemon, but you can't store many. If you don't have Box and you haven't caught many pokemon, trade them to XD.

There is a Nintendo UK located in Hampshire IIRC, so you probably would be able to send it there. Here's what the website has to say:

"Internal battery has run dry" error message

This occurs when there is a problem with the internal battery of the Pokémon game pak that regulates the clock feature of the game. For the most part, other than a few minor events, this will not affect game play, nor will there be any loss of saved data. The save info is preserved in the game's memory chip, not the battery. To repair the issue, the game must be replaced, which will result in a loss of all of save data. If you are still concerned about this issue, and are interested in replacing the game, please call our Consumer Service Department at 1-800-255-3700.

If that ends up being the US number they can at least give you the right number to call in the UK.
