The routes going towards johto on the kanto map ,its not fake, you can't go to johto from fr/lg but in gold,silver,and crystal you can by using those routes.Thats how you get 16 badges, remember.

Uhh, i think everyone knows how to get to kanto/johto in GSC...you cant do it in FR/LG

we all know that...
