It's official

We can all run Windows on our macs.... And Apple licensed it. We all emulate it on Bootcamp. I don't care what other people may say, but this means I'll never have to buy a PC again... And I'm damned happy about that.

True, but it's worth it in the long run. And I also know that everyone has an old copy of Windows laying around somewhere.

That makes no difference. Take a closer look:
You’ll need Windows XP Home Edition or Professional, Service Pack 2 installation disc.

The security risk will only be the Windows partition. If you use windows and a virus got onto a system, the mac partition won't be affected because it's unreadable in windows and if it's a virus that attacks the bios, it can't because the Mac uses EFI.

I only use Windows for games, as the ones on there tend to be the majority of the good ones. Also, there are places when you can replace parts... On my old iBook for example, I upgraded the ram to 2 gigs, the hard drive to 160 gigs, and the graphics card as well.. It just requires popping open the keyboard.

Last I checked, the games are running pretty well on the Intel macs.

While I can't say I'm thrilled, I suppose it is a good thing for people who want to play games on their Macs.

I wonder how this will affect OS X game development..
