I've played them, planning to buy them.

Well, I'm visiting Japan. Since DS and GBA are Region-free devices I'm going to purchase them both. I've played them on Demos.

I just wanted to give you guys this information: In Ranger, you start with a Minun. (which is good, because it's one of my favorite pokemon) And it is way confusing. In Dungeon, you pick from one of six starters and immediately get into the action (this is the way in both games)

If I follow through and actually DO buy them, I'll post more.

Hey I have a question. I cant find a thread where you guys already talked about it so could anyone show me somehting that explains the difference between Blue dungeon and red dungeon? Since the blue boxart has nintendo DS and the red is GBA.

You take a test that determines what Pokemon you will be, after that the game gives you a list of starts to choose from then you name your partner (you name yourself a little bit later).

You basically start the game off recusing a Pokemon.

There's not much difference between the versions, there are some version exclusive pokemon, and that's it...And Red is for GBA and Blue for DS, so in blue you don't have to open the menu for looking how your pokemon are doing....

I've not really put much thought into Mysterious Dungeon. I really think I should get them actually, considering I love both Pokémon and RPGs. Thing is, I never classified MD to be an official Pokémon adventure, just a weird spin off. I'll do some more research into it.

Um, in Ranger, I'm pretty sure that you only start out with a Minun if you are a boy. If you are a girl, you start with a Plusle.
