As Satoshi and Pikachu continue their journey they reach the sea, where they encounter a wild Udeppou on the beach that Satoshi attempts to get. However, he's stopped by his former travelmate Kasumi! Both of them insist on getting the Udeppou themselves, so they decide to settle the matter with fishing, however...?!

"I like where Kasumi was standing in her intro scene, it gives you the feeling of her proactively taking action against Satoshi. The way she acted in her intro was good as well. Satoshi looked quite animated in that scene too, don't you think?"

Their interactions are at their peak when it's a rivalry. And since they mellowed out in terms of temper... Pokémon Battle is as good as it gets.

Not true, if you look in the episodes voice cast list, she and Brock are listed. They will make an appearance but not with Ash probably, but Misty has a chance that she can appear with Ash during the end, since there was the preview, in which she catches Ash, with her fishing rod.

How delusional is Misty to think she stands a chance lol. Either they randomly scale her up to be on Ash's level or we get another illogical Ash loss for old time's sake in his finale series.

'Ash loses for no reason' would be on-brand for Ep 2 of the final saga.
