Lover of underrated characters
I don't want Goh to capture Suicune either but all the reasons people are saying for why he shouldn't catch it are just absurd imo

People actually defending him getting it is vastly more absurd. -_-

Ash, Misty, Brock, May, Dawn, maybe Kiawe... they all deserved a legendary but didn't get one. Then here comes the Gary Stu himself possibly getting one 50 episodes in? That is bull **** pure and simple!
Suicune should have gone to Ash anyways due to the Ho-oh connection, it'd more than make up for that awful click bait "Ho-oh" episode we got early on this saga...

Corocoro is out, this part is for this episode, bottom half is for JN054.

The summary says something like "Satoshi and Go have (????) a lake where the legendary Pokémon Suicune is supposed to be. There they (???) Hunters that are after Suicune!"

Would be nice to have a less blurry scan.

that's the best I can find unfortunately since the original image of the full scan only has the bottom half clear while the upper is slightly blurred.

Has Ash tried? Like at all?
ofc not lmao. He has at least once said that he wanted to catch a Legendary (tho thats mainly out of ignorance of what the mon was). Example was that Suicune in the OS.

Not really. This series has made it pretty clear that he doesn't care about catching legendaries. When he faced Lugia he only wanted to battle and never said he wanted to get it. In the Zapdos episode Go said he wanted to get it and Ash said he was only interested in battling it, same thing happened in the Mewtwo episode.

That's pushing it just like the scenario where viewers thought that Satoshi should've caught Houou at one point just because of their connection, which in itself hasn't been touched upon in a meaningful way in so long [aside from the non-canon 20th movie] that it's pretty much irrelevant.

The only scenario in which I could see Gou catching Suicune is for Suicune to allow itself to be caught after Gou protects it from the hunters, and even then Gou would have to release it immediately afterwards since Suicune must remain in the wild to purify all the water.

He can have the dex entry, but he can't keep the Pokémon, just like what happened with Eternatus.

There are multiple Suicune, so no neither Ash nor Goh would have to release Suicune(if they caught it) just because of it being able to purify Water, as another Suicune or Pokémon could easily come by the place to take care of the water.

Too old for your rubbish..
Technically there 'should' only be one Suicune, based on the lore. However, we already know that between the series and canonical movies, there are several within the anime universe despite how little it makes sense.

It could be a case where the legendary beast trio are able to reproduce somehow which would explain how there is more then one Suicune.
