I used Google translate on it(which isn't always 100% accurate, so hopefully Dephender will give us a more accurate translation) and it seems like it's saying that Ash rival Gary is going to show up. Here is the part I'm talking about in the article:

I hope we get an accurate translation soon because I don’t want to get my hopes up lol. It’s been too long since we’ve seen Gary.

That seems unlikely but who knows? Gary's not even a Trainer I'm the competitive sense anymore though so I don't know why he'd come back. But that scene reminds me of the original farewell. The day many of us thought the show was ending. At least, I thought it was.

So there is a chance of gary appearing later on, i think there is a chance he could be during the league helping kukui set up league in alola. He deserves his own cameo in SM since his impact on ash is higher than any other character, it would be nice to see there interactions.
