Japanese Emerald

I bought my Emerald version in Japan when I went there around 2 years ago. Since it is an official and legit copy, I was wondering if it is accepted in Pokemon tournaments. If not, is it because they don't allow characters other than English in tournaments? Can I simply nickname my name and Pokemon in English, or can I breed the Pokemon to my FR/LG as eggs? I really want to start a new game in Emerald but I don't want my time wasted. Besides, playing the Japanese version can help my English

This is kinda basic. Its just like card games and so forth. Anything in another language is not allowed it has to be the same language. It reminds me of yugioh cards and how japanense cards were not allowed its probly the exact same thing.

I don't think foreign language things are allowed in any tournaments.

So can I just rename my Pokemon or breed them into cute little eggies? I heard they take your game and check it, so I'm scared if I get disqualified should a tournament come to Australia.

You must use the same version as everyone else would have in your region,etc. The version must be english, my friend had Japan Silver Version,when he went to the states he entered a tournament with it,well tried but they wouldnt let him due to the fact that it was in Japanese and not an english version.

So all I have to do is give my Pokemon English names and trade them to an English FR, or simply send an egg over so I can name it in English? :3

Ummm... if you could I would suggest work fresh on an english version you own already or have to buy one, personally Id hate to work on transferring every guy over,hatching them all then having to raise them up only to be told I cant use those pokemon-_-'.
