Japanese Transfer

Ok, this may sound like a dumb question, but here it goes, I have the Japanese Pokemon Colosseum and the Serebii Bonus disk, and a copy of Emerald Japanese. Now I know that you can trade between those, and I did, Serebii is on my Emerald now, but I was wondering if you can trade Serebii from the bonus disk to an american cartridge, or transfer it to an american cartridge from Japanese Emerald? I had heard that someone on this forum did it successfully, so if thats true, how can it be done(if it can be done) without risking the game data?

But basically, yes, you can trade between American and Japanese GameBoy Advance games.
