Jedi Knights II: Jedi Outcast

Hey, I got Jedi Outcast on Monday and I think it's a great game so I figured I should possibly see who else plays it. :p

I haven't gotten far in Single Player since I've gotten addicted to multiplayer but it's great so far. :p

Who else has it?

I thought of getting that but I'm too cheap.

I think I've screwed up my Jedi Outcast game. Because I believe you are meant to take Jan with you but instead I went inside the thing without her and it blew up so there's no hope of getting out. And now she allegedly keeps dying.

If you love the mechanics and gamepaly of Jedi Knight II, you should get at least 50 hours out of this game. After the 7th level this game becomes extremely fun. (I love the insane platforming.) I personally believe it's the best Star Wars game for GCN (don't know about XB, though).

About your problem you descirbed, I'd recommend restarting the level. I'm not sure where or how your problem occurred. Have you used the gun turret yet?

I have restarted. And do you mean the turret which you have to blow down the door with?

Did you know it was actually on the Quake III engine?[/useless trivia]

When do you get a Light Saber? I'm not really a fan of the rifle you get in mission one.

I believe you get the lightsaber on the 5th level or so. But you shouldn't rush it, as soon as you get it, you likely won't use any other weapon again. Haven't played the game for an extremely long time, but it is really good, pretty interesting story that gets a lot better near the end. I'd have to recommend you get the sequel, Jedi Academy as well, though it's quite a bit different.

And even though it's not a very similiar game I'll agree with the second poster, Knights of the Old Republic is the best series of Star Wars games ever, and shouldn't be missed by anyone. I'll have to stress though, that it is an RPG, and does have more dialogue scenes that actual combat.

Damn it, it's the only CD I've ever had that has broken. The only let down was the final boss, it takes literally less than 5 seconds

Don't you mean prequal? Hence why it's called Jedi Knight I? :p

I'm up to the second level now. I remembered to go back and help Jan. :p

No, there are four (technically 5 in the series) Jedi Knight games:
1. Star Wars Dark Forces (FPS only, Darth Vader is in it)
2. Star Wars Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight
3. Star Wars Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith
4. Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast
5. Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

You get the lightsaber in the 7th level.

I personally liked Dark Forces and Jedi Academy more.

X-Wing VS TIE Fighter is always good, and of course KOTOR I and II completely blow it out of the water.

KOTOR is awesome. Seriously. Best Star Wars RPG.

I've never played Mysteries of the Sith, only Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy, Jedi Knight and Dark Forces.

Though Jedi Academy is really easy. I completed it in like a day :p

Jedi Academy is awesome, I like it more than KOTOR, but KOTOR is easily superior.
