i just got to the top of wish cave with a wish stone and still had to battle jirachi can some one tell me what happened but i did win

You are meant to battle it. After defeating it (if you have its Friend Area Mt. Moonview), it will ask to join your team.
- Choose Yes: You will have recruited Jirachi then transported back to your base.
- Choose No: If you have a Wish Stone, then it will ask, what wish you want. If don't have a Wish Stone, then it just goes away.
