Journey Across America - Hacking?

I read that winners of Journey Across America will have their carts confiscated to check for hacking (Gameshark, Action Replay, etc.). I was wondering, do they disqualify you if you hacked, like...oh, I don't know, an Old Sea Map. It seems unreasonable to me because none of the Pokemon were hacked so...

I need an answer by 10 AM tomorrow. I'm in the Chicago tournament. D: But, it's not like I hacked an Old Sea Map. No. >_> <_<

Knowing how they like to do their crap they will destory you for any trace of altered data.

So if you cheated even once and you win...

You're screwed =/

It doesn't seem fair that they'd knock you out of the tournament for cheating to get something like that. Now if you cheated to make your Pokemon stronger, that really wouldn't be fair and I'm all for busting the people who do that, but doing stuff that has no effect on the Pokemon you'll be using or how strong they are doesn't seem that bad.

Sharking? They'll kill you for that.

Hell, I didn't shark, yet they'd probably kick me out for porting things in from Japanese cartridges (which is perfectly legal) or possibly delete them, do I want that? NO

I'll still beat all the winners anyway at NY.

If I win, I'll just have to have them promise not to mess the catridge. It should be legal using Jap pokes. I mean, where does pokemon come from again?

Why would they bust you for that? >_>

Anyway, yeah, I probably should trade all my Pokes over to my friend's cart and use that for the tourney. I just hope to God at least one of his carts is clean. :s

Well, they need to tighten security so much that they'll shave you bald just for having hair! It's all a part of Czar Baldy Bald IV's EMBB Edict - Everybody Must Be Bald! Still, they should come up with a bill that will outlaw all Cheat devices!

Well if that's the case I never hacked but I know people who have hacked pokemon so I most likely have atleast1.

I'm sorry if this is off-topic but is there going to be a Pokemon event next year? I can't occur this year.

My Emerald's clean as a whistle. The closest thing it's had to being hacked is a hacked Jirachi and Deoxys that were in it for less than a week, and a Mew that isn't in it anymore either. The Game Pak has never touched a Shark or an Action Replay, and never will. If they're gonna bust me for having ONE as yet unobtainable Pokémon in my 'Dex (the worst crime I've committed) I'd raise one hell of an issue about it.

Or maybe I should just erase my Sapphire and blast through the quest again by leveling up its Pokémon in Colosseum, then put my JAA team in there so they CAN'T bust me for even the most petty reason.

Y not?
As of today, my only "clean" Cart is Firered. Which is also the version I'm entering. Due to an Action Replay my Emerald can't compeat any more, and thanks to a Game Shark my version Ruby was disquallified before the even was even announced.

I wonder thoe, If you bring in more than one cart, only win with one (I suspect they will only allow you to use one for the whole tourny), will they want all the cart's you brought with you or just the one that won?

On the rules, it said that anyone who is caught with a cheated game is immediantly disqualified from the tournament ... I don't know what else they would do, though.

So let me get this straight, if you have any number of 'sharked' Pokemon in your game, such as in the PC Box, but you AREN'T using them for battling in the tournament (they're just Pokemon you keep in the box), would you get disqualified for that as well?

I was just wondering, cause my Ruby version has Pokemon that I got from my friend's Action Replay. However, I'm not using them in the tournament, I just keep those in the PC Box at all times......

Anyway though, if that is the case and they would disqualify me for that, then I would just have to use my Fire Red verison or my Emerald version.

That still leaves my question of "...will they want all the carts you brought with you or just the one that won?"

Like if you brought one for the tournament and your other 2 for the rest of the stuff. Prior to the event reaching the area 2 out of the 3 carts you were taking were hacked by either AR or GS.(yes I'm describing me) If You won with the non-hacked cart and still had the other carts with you, would they want all the carts you brought with you or just the one you won with?

A good idea is to buy another pokemon cartidge (or restart one of your games), complete it, then throw in only your team. That way you are guaranteed not to be busted (unless you hacked your team) and you got nothing to lose (Except for your JAA Team of course). I'm buying a new Ruby/Emerald for this.

I never directly hacked any of my games, I did, though, recieved from hacked files and duplicated pokemon and items with a USB Memory card.

Buying another game nor restarting answers my question of How many carts do they want if you brought more than one with you and won?

And also, no one has answered my question four posts up there ^^^^ yet either.

I mean, if they ONLY check the Pokemon in your team, and they don't care about the Pokemon in your box (or whether or not you have 99 of every TM, and 99 Master Balls), then I would be okay to use my Ruby version......

But, I won't know the answer to that unless someone gives it to me.
