Journeys still has 16 episodes left in Japan apparently

Jangobadass

Surprise!
Huh. And here I was thinking that Jirachi episode and whatever features the Girafarig hat been abandoned and cancelled...

Of course, they could still suck... <_<
(I swear, if someone makes a wish to Jirachi that none of this ever happened and Arceus presses the Reset Button of the Gods...)

Might as well. If Journeys continues then we will see plenty of Sinnoh, lol

Hell, they've done more with Sinnoh elements than with Galar ones! o_O

Hylden General.
This is so weird. What do they still have up their sleeve then?

If they're rushing things, it may be possible that they want to show a bit of SV with Goh in it, but at the same time, they'll ditch Goh...and perhaps the anime ends.

That or OLM ensures that Ash's entire PWC-winning team gets released one episode after another, never to be seen again to keep him from being too good (by the way, Lucario gets a 3-episode long arc for his release, perhaps becoming the only Pokemon who does get enough of a reason to get set free).

Liko>>>>>Ash
It would be great if those episodes were used for past companions and "reserves"...

...nah they're most likely boring fillers lmao

Then Goh will catch a couple of Paldean mons, officially having a higher amount than Sinnoh mons

How are things being rushed?
Neither Ash or Goh (especially) have gotten one believable loss and have ascended through the ranks fast.

Johto is the laughingstock of relevance.

They bothered to show Diantha VS. Lance, but then decided to completely skip Diantha VS. Leon and literally used a slideshow.

The fact that Ash VS. Leon may not even take a fourth of the remaining episodes.

The training episodes only last one episode of relevance (Lucario's were the silliest) and become the key to defeating Ash's next opponent (unless you're Gengar learning Will-o-Wisp).

Oh, and let's not forget half of Ash's team was already fully evolved, and how fast Goh's Pokemon evolve without his input and focus.

The likely answer is “backlog of episodes delayed by Covid prevention protocols are getting through”.

This could explain why Burgunday didn’t show up in Iris’s little Unova cameo rollcall. She was gonna be in the Cilan episode before m8 , and be palling with him still, but it got delayed.
