I really wanted Sirfetch'd on Ash's team and didn't want Sobble. Really dislike how the design of Inteleon.
As far as I'm considered, good riddance.
Not very keen on Rillaboom either.
But it does open up team slots for more Galar Pokémon. What do you guys think Ash might catch if he doesn't get Sobble and Grookey lines?
I want to see G. Slowing and Rapid-Strike Urshifu.
Other Galar Pokémon I wanna see in Ash's team are Centiskorch, Coalossal, Dracozolt.
And apart from that, Ash's old Greninja, Larvitar to Tyranitar, Haxorus.

The problem is the treatment and spotlight a Pokemon in this series gets when it comes to Ash vs Goh. Ash's Pokemon are more likely have their character showcased because they're showcased far more and we'll actually get to see them in battles. With Goh, 99% of his captures are shipped off to Sakuragi Park and they're just lucky if they get to show any character or any action under Goh's ownership. Goh is a collector, not a fighter. People want to see Sobble in action and feel like we have a new cast member. Sobble will get that under Ash's ownership, but is far less likely to get that much spotlight under Goh's ownership. Even if Goh brings along Sobble with Raboot, its more likely to just be sitting on the sidelines. It will be lucky to even battle Team Rocket under Goh. That's why a lot of people don't want Goh to get Sobble.

I for one am on the side of Ash getting Sobble in the scan we got when the show was on hiatus it asks if battling will be completely impossible for sobble. Ash is the battler and Goh hasn't even done any battling with Raboot yet that's not team rocket despite it showing greater interest. I think because of how emotional Sobble is and how Goh isn't really good at reading emotions it will give him some development in trying to create more bonds rather than just being a collector but ultimately Ash will be the one to bond with it as he's all about friendship being one with your pokemon. The preview hasn't shown us what Ash will do really so we gotta wait and see. Gonna be a long wait. Also the scan where Sobble is shown with Ash's other mons still bother me it was Ash and his team on the main page along with Sobble so i dont know why they would do that if it was going to go. Just makes the scans less credible really.

Yeah I dont see a trade happening. Ash had to earn Farfetch'd's respect by defeating it which is something Go failed to do. Plus if Go gives Sobble the love and affection it craves I doubt it would want to leave him.

I'm still confused by that scan that lists Sobble as Ash's Pokemon, whilst not showing Farfetch'd. It's hard to know what to believe and expect at this point..
Thats as well as the scan that made it seem like Morpeko would join Ash and Goh, while it actually seems like it could go to James..

True that. Even poor Farfetch'd got wiped out in one hit by a Pokemon that was then defeated by a baby Riolu. That alone shows how much it sucks to be part of a team that does jack squat, it'd be better off in the wild.

Someone else like Hop or Leon can show Inteleon off. But if Raboot does evolve into Cinderace it wouldnt be a stretch to believe that Sobble could do the same under Go

Unlike other gou's captures sobble is a galar starter pokemon ,is immensely popular in Japan nowadays and is also an 8th gen pokemon. Raboot is getting a lot of screen time and it makes perfect sense that sobble's going to get more spotlight than his other pokemon . Morevoer not all ash's pokemon get a lot of focus. Only riolu and pikachu are getting a lot of screentime among his captures.

Lies and slander. Who was it that got to participate in two Grand Trials and two trials? While the other only got one trial(No grands, such Tauros...) and only was allowed to fight a singular Pokemon for most of his existence? Torracat got jack 85% of the saga, he didn't even have his own crystal until the tail end of the series! Just because Torracat evolved doesn't mean he got better treatment, he got it worse. Incineroar shouldn't have happened at the last minute, it should have happened against Nanu!
Doesn't mean we have to like or accept it. Just makes me hate Go's selfish ass even more
Everyone should be, it's annoying how every Pokemon he catches just happens to automatically become his best friend and like it there while we actually see Ash bonding and the Pokemon choosing to go with him

After thinking about it all day yesterday, I'm warming up to the idea of Gou catching Sobble.
IF Gou is willing to risk himself to protect Sobble and if the writers allow Sobble to get similar treatment as Raboot (to be a walking Pokemon and get some character development) then I'll be alright with it.
Seeing how Raboot has been in every single episode since it's capture episode, it actually might be more beneficial for Sobble to get more exposure IF the writers allow for it to travel with Gou and Raboot.
As for Sobble evolving, I'm not to worried about that either. People probably haven't noticed by now, but I believe that Gou catching a lot of Pokemon resulted in enough EXP for Scorbunny to evolve into Raboot and later Cinderace (since we know for certain that's on it's way)
The only jury that's still out is if Sobble will be Gou's Starter replacement after Raboot evolves since I'm a little doubtful that Cinderace will be walking around every single episode.
And if Grookey will take IT'S place if the same thing happens to Sobble?

Kinda lame that Go gets Cinderace by doing absolutely nothing like the old Luigi doing nothing in mario party meme. Tho on the bright side, being a Cinderace may bring back good old Scorbunny on the inside instead of continuing to have the disinterested edgy thing, that can go to Drizzile now :v
