Can I assume that Jessie's Pumpakaboo evolves in this episode? If so, that just leaves Eevee to be obtained by Serena. Imagine if Pumpkaboo evolves and then gets released in one episode.

Yeah it's safe to assume that this is the episode where Jessie gets Gourgiest now whether it's because her Pumpkaboo evolved or she gets Gourgiest that evolved from a different Pumpkaboo is debatable.

Ugh. The lashings that would follow wouldn't be worth it. At least it seems like TR won't hog the whole episode though if we're getting Pikachu's impersonation scenes too.

It's not a fake-out when the title has a question mark in it. It's not like the title says that it WILL leave.

Yeah and it's not as if he forgets certain Pokemon: He simply has no big reason to announce to the world that he recognizes what a Psyduck is in this case. :x

I'm thinking the former too since I doubt she'd give away her Gourgeist and replace it with a stranger.

My only concern is Jessie's track record. She lost Lickitung in a strange, comedic manner. Plus, she doesn't seem to be nearly as close to Pumpkaboo as James is to Inkay. I just hope we get a sense of the bond between them this time. When Jessie and Wobbuffet almost left, she barely mentioned Pumpkaboo.

Lickitung was replace by Wobbuffet only because the latter was a more relevant Pokemon back then.

Her bond with Pumpkaboo hasn't had time to develop on-screen much, but I do think she cares about it and won't just let it go so easily. :x

So the Gourgeist Festival is like a smaller version of Halloween i'm guessing? The gang looks adorable in all their costumes. but yes, how ironic is it that Satoshi dresses up as Snorlax, a Pokemon he already owns but hasn't interacted with in a LONG time. And Serena looks lovely in that Florges costume. Kinda a trend i'm noticing cuz wasn't her Tripokalon outfit also based on Florges?
