• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.

I can't say I'm particularly happy if this is truly Tierno's Raichu. Granted, neither him or Trevor were treated that well as rivals, but even they could've gotten more then just being jobbed by Alain and Sawyer.

You weren't just complaining about how the League's finale will be rushed, but also how the League started too soon and i argued that once Ash gets his last badge, there's no need to drag this any longer with fillers.

I doubt the Team Flare Climax can be regarded as filler but if you wanted to regard it as filler.

Sure they needed to drag out the start of the league so Ash has time to fully prepare for the league. Get one decent random battle in before the league. Push Ash's Pokemon to their limits BEFORE the league.

Shota's key stone appears to be attached to the bookmark on his notebook. Perhaps that's what he was clutching at the end of his and Satoshi's last battle?

I doubt this Raichu is Tiernos. It just doesn't make sense. They have been setting up Ash vs Tierno really well. Them not fighting at the league makes no sense and i want to see how well Ash and Greninja can adapt to Tiernos dancing style.

I know this is a stretch but what if..... this Raichu is Ritchies.

I'm really hoping Tierno goes out with a bang, he's the only one whose been here since the beginning, he was a new trainer, he had a goal, he assembled a full team, he got his badges at a nice rate, it would feel odd if he didn't get a mega evolution and on top of that got beaten easily. I doubt it will be easy but still...it's odd to me, the more I think about it too...the more it seems a bit unfair that the Kalos League is essentially "Mega Evolution War." I mean, ME does grant a huge advantage over other trainers along with Synchro-Evolution...how would Raichu fend itself off against Mega Jukain when its only non-Electric move was Focus Blast. On top of the increased power, speed, typing and ability that comes with Mega Evolution, the fact we didn't really see them build up these mega Getto Dazes does make it feel a bit forced / artificial, especially when Mega Evolution was stated to be a mystery and very rare / exclusive before in XY but they're sort of going back on what they said when they have all these trainers running around with mega evolutions and synchro evolutions and the like. But without much build up to it? Not to mention the struggle to master it that we saw with Corni, did everything just go picture perfect for Trova for example? Don't get me wrong, I like them and are hyped to see them again but the handling of this is feeling a bit shoddy.

Pokemon Fan mentions a full battle. Will it be Sawyer/Alain or some other character? If its some other character I nominate Astrid (aka Katie 2.0).
.

Hopefully we get full battles against BOTH Shota and Alan.

Writers are setting up Shota VS Ash and/or Alain VS Ash. I prefer this by far rather than a Ash VS Trevor, and then Tierno, Shota, Alain... It makes the league more plausible, otherwise it seems too forced, "artificial". I prefer to see Ash VS Astrid instead.

Please, quote me where i said it was a filler.

What i said was that it didn't start off sooner than it should, that it didn't need any fillers to start, just like it didn't need the Team Flare arc's end, because they are completely unrelated things.

Sure they needed to drag out the start of the league so Ash has time to fully prepare for the league. Get one decent random battle in before the league. Push Ash's Pokemon to their limits BEFORE the league.
They certainly don't need 10000 episodes before the League to do that. They can still show bits of his training on the episodes to come.

Besides, Ash is fighting a Mega Abomasnow and the powerhouse that is avalugg on the next gym rematch, so it's not like he won't have a good battle before the League.

They where setting up Ash vs Tierno even before Shota was a thing. And why did they show Tiernos five man squad that early if he was always meant to go down in the first round. I tell you, this isn't Tierno.

The problem with Korrina and Lucario had more to do with the species-related Aura powers though, it wasn't necessarily the experience of Mega Evolution.

Props for having Sawyer's Key Stone on his notebook. I love it the same way I love Venusaur umbrella-holding guy had his in a freaking pocket watch. What's Trevor going to have, a Mega Camera (YES)?

The line they had about no one can stop Greninja leaves me with two thoughts. 1) Could they be implying that it will take an analytical approach and a study of Ash-Greninja to at least compete with it (ie Sawyer), OR 2) will another OP trainer just appear out of nowhere and defeat him (*cough* Tobias *cough*)? The line they gave though was that he guarantees victory so...?

And come on, Ash's 6th has to be Goodra. It just has to... There's no way it's not... Surely... Please?

While yes, it is early to assume that TF arc and the league will be rushed but think about it we almost have 22 episodes left at most. You can't just put the league, the TF arc and the ending in just 22 episodes. Tbh, they should've just had 3 filler episodes in XY and Z instead of 11.

Remember Kenny?

I feel sorry for this Raichu. Not only is it going against a Mega, the Mega has the ability Lighting Rod.

Yep the line is weird at the very least. Ash is depending too much on Ash-Greninja. He is bound to fall, losing to maybe an average trainer. Hope this doesn't cost him the league.

Raichu? I was right, these new writers don't know what they're doing. Not only has Pikachu made it clear that it does NOT want to evolve, it's our mascot, not Raichu. RIP Pokemon anime. It was fun while it lasted.

This battle should teach Satoshi that he can't go against Mega Sceptile using Pikachu.

If you're trying to say Ash's Pikachu is evolving then I have no words...

it's Tierno's Raichu is not the evolution of Satoshi's Pikachu.

How do we know its Tierno's (Yes, it obviously is not Ash). Is it already confirmed if its Tierno's. If not, it can be a random one.

...What? For one, there are no new writers; these are the same ones we've been dealing with. Secondly, Tierno has a Raichu, so what on Earth does Ash's Pikachu have to do with anything?
