Shota's Sceptile mega evolves as well!!
Shota gathered 8 badges before Ash, and won against him in battle once as well. His partner Sceptile is now able to mega evolve as well!
*Since its typing is Grass/Dragon, this increases the power of "Dragon Claw" as well!

Oh, what's that? Is the anime really acknowledging STAB? Now they would only need to acknowledge double resistances and double weaknesses and we are done.

Strategy 1: Ash Greninja guarantees victory!!
Ash Greninja can easily pin down the opponent, the limit of its super power being not yet known! Are there really no Pokémon out there that that win against it!?
*The giant "Water Shuriken" on its back roars for action!

Trust me, writer, there will be something that will manage to take Ash-Greninja down unless Ash truly manages to win this League.

Strategy 2: His 6th partner arrives!!
As Ash wins his way through the Kalos League, he reaches the point where he has to fight a 6-on-6 full battle. Ash currently has 5 Pokémon on hand. By adding one more Pokémon, his ultimate team is complete!

Interesting that the anime is acknowledging the fact that needs 6 Pokemon for the future full battles. This makes me wonder if Ash will truly get Goodra back or if we will get a reserve. I really wonder who he will get, then...

It is a big thing to point out that this will likely take up a large chunk of this episode unlike ALain vs Trevor because that's also the league opening episode. Tierno might put up a good fight yet.

Then Mega Sceptile will happen and two-shot Raichu.

Maybe because even nurses can use the rare Mega Evolutions nowadays.

But to be serious, it's just that Mega Evolution is still what defines the XY games, to it would make sense for the staff to feature it so heavily. If all, this may seem more as a continuation of the Mega Evolution specials, in a sense.

Yeah I am happy too that Astrid is going to appear but that Remo let Alain feed on him again.Also finally Mega Sceptile in the anime!!!!!!!! Excited as hell just for getting to see mega sceptile and he looks great with that bandana.So Tierno is most possibly getting wrecked here without mega blastoise or maybe this just might be a group episode just like the one in johto seems a distant possibility but there is.
And shota has his keystone in his journal so does it confirm that he had his key stone in that gym battle episode?

I'm like 99% positive Ayaka was only put there to make the Kalos League not a complete sausage fest, no worries though we can count on Ayaka getting foddered off really quickly to Satoshi in a blink-and-you-miss-it battle. Ayaka hasn't exactly been great with it's portrayal of female battlers unfortunately, they usually get the short end of the stick.

Yeah pretty sure if she's getting hyped up in the magazine she'll get more then a throwaway battle

it is actually worth noting that Blastoise is on the cover of Pokefan. It might not be Tierno but if it isn't this is super dumb, should have had some trainer if a Mega Manetric.
