Again.
I don’t give a **** about the rest of the Masters 8. Just give me Ash Greninja defeating Alain’s Mega Charizard X.
Incineroar should defeat Alain, cause he survived from another mon's Blast Burn :p

Hopefully this is just the introduction that let's Ash catch up with the his competition. He does have history with all seven of them
I think that is what this episode will be and maybe the next episode will have Ash’s first Master Class battle, but I think they try to drag out the rest of the tournament so that they can have Ash vs Leon towards the end of the series.

Pretty much every league except Alola has skipped battles that Ash or his rivals aren't involved in. Skipping every non-Ash or Leon battle would be par for the course.
Right, but 6 episodes for a tournament with only 8 people sounds insane. Rushing the tournament when they don’t have to, which is exactly what they did with the Unova League.

That’s because every league except for Alola was compromised of a lot of no-name characters.

The reason we saw every battle to some extent in the Alola league was do to the top 16 being composed of all named and previously established characters.

The fact that the Masters 8 is comprised of previously established named characters and there are only characters means there is a good chance that we could see every battle to some extent.
That and they're not just former characters from the show but 6 out of 8 of them are champions from the games. Characters like Leon, Lance, Cynthia, Steven have much more grandeur to them than the other characters we've seen from previous seasons

It's good for the Masters Tournament to run all summer so that they can announce 2 months in advance that Ash's role in the series is done

Then we can smoothly transition into Goh and Chloe deciding what their next dreams are

Their dream will be the same as everyone else's, to go do what the writers tell them to offscreen and hope for a reappearance one day

No it seems Goh and Chloe will both decide PokeSpain looks like a fun vacation

The Masters Tournament will be over by August 19th, 2022 or September 2nd, 2022

With only 8 trainers competing, 6 is a perfectly reasonable number of episodes.

Preposterously wrong I'm afraid.

If Ash makes the final then there should be a minimum of 5 episodes just for Ash's battles. And that's with the QFs being 3 on 3 (when imo all the battles should be 6 against 6) and the final only being a two episode battle (which would itself be dumb - Ash/Paul gets 3 episodes, Ash/Kukui gets 4, but the biggest match in the history of a 25-year-old weekly show gets the standard 2? No.)

That 5 number would also mean no cooldown episodes or any battles featuring the other 7 trainers. This needs to be at least 8 or 9 episodes; ideally 12 or so. If it's a straight knockout all 7 matches should be treated as highly significant. Champion vs. Champion matches in the anime are exceptionally rare, and we should at least see a clip of every match. Diantha just losing off-screen in R1 for example massively undercuts her significance as a trainer.

No. 6 episodes is way too short.

The only difference is instead of pokemon this time it will be a human and everybody will take one full episode to find out where leon got lost.
