Go attempts a Project Mew mission!

One day Go recieves an email from "Project Mew" asking him to come to the laboratory at the foot of Mt. Tengan in the Sinnoh region. He immediately heads there together with Satoshi, and when he arrives he's finally given his first mission; Getting an Alola Kyukon in the glacial area north of Mt. Tengan. Will Go be able to complete this mission?!

I suppose people just expected episodes with some correlation to the Project Mew story right after episode 68?

Between the Oak corral episode (which is mostly Infernape-Moltres and Gary) and Crown Tundra, there's two disconnected fillers (the second one might be a TRio capture episode or something but I won't hold out hope given how mistreated they've been in this series). At best, there'll just be a throwaway line to connect the two mainline episodes before they teleport to their destination. Hell, don't be surprised if the CT stuff ends in this episode itself instead of being a 2-parter.

All "jump to conclusions" are very much objectively valid given the series' structure/formula and writers' tendencies to cram the important stuff and be done and dusted with it.

I beg to disagree. Jumping to conclusions is never a good idea for a series - no matter if it's from the series' formula and structure. Such small things can change faster than you'd think after all!
