Yes, but I don't want his eventual Lucario to have...another Lucario rival. There's over 900 critters to be rivals.

It's like Ash totally missed a Charizard-only rivalry with Alain but things ended up awkward because freaking Trevor got the Y version.

I'm fine with a rematch happening, just so long as it's not ridiculously overextended like Torracat vs Incineroar! Just have them face off again in 20 episodes and let Ash's Lucario win, the same species vs same species rivalry crap is boring as heck!

Maybe they can get someone like Bruno, who recently registered for PWC, beating Ash. That would make much more sense then losing to her.

I don't think any E4 uses Lucario. Cynthia has one but she is a champion.

To create a sense of tension and stakes. If Ash has his rank go down it means that losing will have consequences.

Of course he may not end up losing to Korrina at all and have his first loss in the WC be against Raihan

If it's the same summary from that magazine that praised one of his monsters for being big and apparently reliable, it should be taken with a grain of salt.
