Come on, it's pretty obvious that the "no non-gen 5 Pokemon other than Pikachu and Nyarth in the BW anime" thing was mandated by TPC, and OLM had to come up with the specific in-universe explanations for it.

I wasn't really talking about those two, though. I meant the story for BW in general.

(Or just outright remove the story during the badge quest and put it in its own arc after it, but still, it was a big part of Unova in the games that it somehow got secluded from the entire region without much intervention from other characters.)
