Everyone from the Pokémon School decided to take a shortcut through a cave on their way back from the overnight field trip. After Lilie gets lost, she encounters a group of the "Mouse Pokémon" Alola Sand. When she learns they have someone they want to win against in some way or other, she wants to help them out in some way. Meanwhile, Satoshi and the others that Lilie got separated from have ended up getting lost in the cave as well and are unable to get out.

Satoshi and the others were on their way back to Melemele Island, but after entering a cave they thought was a shortcut, they got lost and ended up getting separated from Lilie and the others. Meanwhile, Lilie encounters a group of Alola Sand. It appears the Alola Sand have someone they want to win against in some way or other, and Lilie wants to help them. Also, will Satoshi and the others be able to safely make it out of the cave?

Lillie meets a Sandshrew. Maybe they are going for the Ice typing for her in the anime. At this point I'd find it a better conclusion than Sandshrew just being a POTD.

Also looks like we'll have a week hiatus before this episode.

Now don't tell me Lillie ends up being the one who ends up catching Alolan Sandshrew. Really hope its not the case.

Ok I'm gonna laugh if Lillie gets both Ice-type alola forms but at the same time I would be more than happy seeing her finally getting a second Pokemon.

Ok, let me get this straight. We went to Ula'ula for a five episode mini-arc, then came back for Xurkitree and Blacephalon Ultrananigans, then went back to Ula'ula for another two episodes?

I get why the UB episodes take place on Melemele, since it's the "hub world" where (most of) our heroes live, but if you're gonna go back so soon, then why not have that episode after this one?

I guess the first arc really was a 'testing the waters' approach to see if dividing the cast for fair periods of time can work.

Still I suppose at the very least it means Ula Ula is going to get reasonable limelight.

Is there any possible way for Ash to catch Sandshrew in the episode? Cause based on the summary I don't see that happening.

It would be a better outcome over it just being a POTD I suppose (which unfortunately could be as likely to happen). Besides Lillie needs her secondary, and she at least stands more chance of using it better than Lana or Mallow.

I guess it was silly to expect both Ash and Lillie to use the Icium Z. It will probably be Lillie's signature Z crystal.

There is potential for a secondary with Lillie since Snowy is the baby of the group and at times a little anti social.

Of course we were all hyped about Lana possibly getting a Dewpider, people. Let's be cautious.

Yay more Lillie focus although that Lana episode has me traumatized to even think she’s catching Alolan Sandrew. I really hope people don’t start attacking her for catching it possibly since Ash was “suppose to”. Similar to how Iris got that immature hate for catching a pseudo before Ash did.

Cool, Alolan Sandshrew is Appearing, lets NOT Set Ourselves Up for DISAPPOINTMENT, but it would be Nice By the End Of the Episode, Lillie DOES End Up getting it. :) :cool:

Pfft, okay then I'm 100% convinced Ash will get this mysterious Pokemon that Let's Go is hinting at for his sixth.
Though this does bring up the question what the heck are they going to do for the Fairy Trial if Lillie's going to be Ice specialist, the girls don't battle nearly enough to warrant having two crystals. Lana hasn't used hers in like forever

Well, Ash can still catch Jangmo-o, Mudbray, or Cutiefly.

Are you freaking kidding me?! Nobody needs another Pokemon but Ash and Kiwae. Really hope Lillie catches it for Ash since he's done it for others before it would be nice and the only way I'd accept Lillie catching it.

It's possible Mina will just demonstrate it herself since not all the trials are being adapted (though no one's shown Ghostium Z yet, even after Acerola appeared).

I'm still hoping one of the main characters gets a Ribombee though.

Are you serious? The girls all need a second Pokémon more than Ash or Kiawe does.
