It is that time again.

Will Lana's temporary Stoutland not give a DANG about her because she smells fishy?! Is Ash's Stoutland dumb like he is?! Will there be a small scene of Litten getting along with a Stoutland?! Why are we focusing too much into Stoutland right now unlike BW's fascination with Dewott?! Does Lillie need to learn how to touch 800 (exact number) Pokemon so her fear goes away for good?!

No, maybe, probably not, we will probably see very little of Stoutland after this, no she probably just have to fix it at the source of her fear whatever that is (probably Nilhilego).

1. Of course Stoutland won't give a "dang" about Lana, but because of fishy smell? Maybe that particular Stoutland hates fish in general. 2. Maybe, but it looks like it is enjoying itself rather than being dumb. It is, however, looking dumb. 3. No. 4. Because we thought the whole Litten ordeal would repeat, and we totally forgot about Stoutland also being a Ride Pokémon in Alola. 5. No. Lillie doesn't know that there are a total of 802 Pokémon species. She touching Snowy and Pikachu are baby steps. If she can successfully touch Stoutland, that number goes down to 799.

1. Nah, Lana's temporary Stoutland probably doesn't care because it's stubborn. Poor Lana.
2. Not dumb, but maybe childish and over-enthusiastic like Ash.
3. Litten isn't listed on the VA list, so it seems unlikely. Maybe Ash knew about how traumatic Litten would be if he introduced the fire cat to another Stoutland.
4. Dewott wasn't shown that much in BW wasn't it? Anyways, Stoutland is a Ride Pokemon, so that's why it's appearing again. We probably won't see another except maybe a flashback of Litten's caretaker in the future.
5. Good luck to Lillie finding Legendaries and Mythical Pokemon to touch them if she needs to touch every single Pokemon to overcome her fear.

1. Was that pun really necessary? No, it won't give a dang about her because it's either lazy or just doesn't care for her, or because she pissed it off somehow.

2. It doesn't look dumb, just silly.

3. I doubt it. Litten isn't listed in the VA list, and Ash should know better than to expose Litten to another Stoutland when it so recently lost its Stoutland mentor and friend.

4. Because Stoutland is a Ride Pokémon, and all of the Ride Pokémon need their fair share of focus.

5. No, she just needs to touch a substantial number of Pokémon in order to completely overcome her fear. (Touching 800 more Pokémon would be impossible, anyway. Good luck trying to touch all the mythicals, legendaries, and extinct Pokémon.)

- Probably not, but when they run into a Garbodor, Stoutland might be smelling other things.
- I think it's just silly and playful.
- I actually don't think we'll see Litten in this episode. If we did, then the writers would obviously have to do something with that, which could take away from what this episode is really about.
- Because it's a Ride Pokemon. We probably won't be seeing much of Stoutland it after this though.
- I actually think that when she truly figures out as to why she's having this problem in the first place, she'll be able to fix it. But for now...maybe a few more. :p

I'm hoping that we'll see less of Stoutland in general after this episode myself cuz it feels excessive to keep seeing the species in SM even for minor roles. At least the ones present here have much more personality than the stray one had however.

The stray...really didn't have the energy to have a personality. It did fill the "grandfather"/"old mentor" role quite well.

All set to be a nice guy
Ash doesn't seem to be enjoying that slimy doggy kiss as much as one would think he would, given that he has a canine Pokémon of his own who properly bombards him with doggy kisses on a regular basis.

Rockruff doesn't lick him though. It seems to always hug him using its sharp rocks around its neck.
