OKay I got a question. Is the voice of Pikachu in the English anime's the same as in the Japanese episodes. I just want to know.

Yes it is. However, there was a time, waaaay back in some of the earliest Kanto episodes where Pikachu had a different dubbed voice, but for 99.9% of the series, it has been the same.

Yes, they keep Pikachu's original voice (which is Ohtani Ikue).

That was Racheal Lillis, who did Pikachu's voice whenever they had trouble keeping the audio.

Wow I actually thought an American actor could do that very well, But since they kept the Ohtani's voice, i say its cool. Hey one more question, does that mean all the Other Pokemon in teh America animaes have their english name said. Is there any who don't say their name is the smae in the Japanese version

They used to keep a Pokemon's Japanese voice if their name was the same as the Japanese version, or if it was just made sounds whenever it talks.

Starting around the Advanced season, when 4Kids was still dubbing, they started to give Pokemon new voices even if it had the same name as it's Japanese equivalent (or if it just made sounds; growls, etc.).

Pikachu is the same in the Jap and English version, wow!

...It's not that surprising. Pikachu has the same name in both America and Japan, so why bother redubbing it?

Oh, and it's been this way for nine years; you mean to tell me that you people didn't find out about it until just now?

Both voices sound exactly the same to me. But never listen the spanish dub. Pikcahuu's voice makes me mad, really.

I like pie.
it's the same voice actor except for some of the early episodes where pikachu speaks the same time somebody else does and they couldn't splice the dub voice and pikachus so rachael lillis (better known as misty) provided pikachu's voice. i believe that episode was the very first one.
