Ok so Im trying to get a shiny torchic, and I was wondering, on the first battle with poochyena will stars pop out letting me know when torchic is shiny? Or do I have to wait?

The stars pop out. If there arent any than he aint shiny soits best to save right before you fight poochy and keep turning the game on and off until you get him.
