Philosopher Knight
It is the year 2020 and the world is divided into several factions by the fallen gods. Before, all was peaceful and calm. While there were tyrannical maniacs and fiends wielding magic, superpowers or all sorts of nightmarish powers, but they were kept in check by heroes, champions and do-gooders of all sorts. However, everything changed in the year 2012. From the Bermuda Triangle, a crystal pyramid rose from the sea and unleashed a horrible force not seen ever before. Some say it was a sea of nanobots, some say an alien god, others a being of energy.

They all called it, The Calamity.

People began dying. By the millions. And their despair empowered this force before it drove the worlds' greatest heroes to madness, resulting in an all-out Civil War. It took herculean effort for this evil to be destroyed. However, many of the heroes were left dead or scarred by the incident. The scars burned deep in the soul and the result was terrible. Unable to watch their beloved world be burned again, the remaining heroes took over the worlds.

Around the world now, many of the former heroes now rule over sanctioned areas of the word with a sharp eye and an iron fist. Many places remained untouched, living in fear of these fallen heroes. The Justice League has now became The Sentinel Syndicate. The world is eithered in alliance with these cities, hidden away in isolation or under the rule of lesser villains. However, there is hope.

There is always hope.

One of the oldest and enigmatic heroes, The Phantom Stranger has been lurking with the shadows. Having a grand knowledge of how many of these heroes have gotten their powers, he offers the next generation to defeat their fallen predecessors and create a new tomorrow. This new Justice League must face the fallen heroes, the surviving villains and the threat of the Calamity returning.

Six months after you have recieved your power and trained, you have been beckoned to make your way to New York City, where you will be taken to a safe place to meet.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

New Earth: The world is now ruled by the fallen heroes into several sections with the founding Leaguers on the top.

The Sentinel Syndicate

- The Last Son of Krypton (Superman): The co-ruler of the Justice League, he watches over the Earth from the Stronghold of Solitutde in Antartica. He watches over many things and quickly comes over to dispell any major events. He has grown powerful from his exposure from yellow sun radiation. Can rarely be seen tilling the fallout remains of Kansas or mourning the loss of his everything in the remains of Smallville. He is married to The Amazon Queen.

- The Dark Knight (Batman): The other ruler of the Justice League, even the Batman succumbed to the madness and despair. He slaughtered all but a few foes and those that survived fled never to commit crime again. He ended up taking over the League of Shadows and married Talia after killing Ra's in a duel. When he fell, so did most of his sidekicks after the deaths of Nightwing and Alfred. While Superman reigns by day, he rules by night.

- The Amazon Queen (Wonder Woman): Queen of the Amazons and ruler of Europe, she decided that force must be needed after the loss of many good people. Her compassion buried, she proceeded to kill the Greek Gods with the help of her compartiots before she settled as Queen of Europe with the Amazon Island as the capital and serves as the magical expert of the Sentinel Syndicate. She is married to The Last Son of Krypton and most serve to help retain what little humanity they have left.

- The Winged Pharoah (Hawkman): Pharoah of Africa, Hawkman and Hawkwoman regained the memories of their past lives as rulers of ancient Eygpt and using their knowledge of technology and Nth metal, they conquered Egypt and then the rest of Africa. He is currently researching the origins of the Calamity.

- Fernus (Martian Manhunter): Released from the mental block of fire, he transformed back into the monsterous Fernus. Unlike last time though, the aggression of the alternate persona was tempeted when J'onn was assimilated by it as well as the terror of the calamity. It has taken refuge in South America, where the Amazon was burned down from it's reproduction through fire and psychic suffering. It's now worshipped as a deity of war where suffering is embraced to keept their 'god' alive.

- The Ocean Lord (Aquaman): Having lost many Atlanteans and friends to the Calamity, he remade Atlantis into a stronghold before he set out to spread his domain across the seas. Beyond investigating the waters for any potential connections, he also explores the lost ruins of ancient civilizations and has also spread his domain to parts of Asia as part of a vast undersea empire.

- The Emerald Hand (Green Lantern): With the loss of Star City, Carol and so on, Hal Jordan snapped and fell back to his routes from the Parallax incident. He hunted down his fellow human Green Lanterns and proceeded to kill and take their rings. After killing of Alan Scott, John Stewart, Guy Gardner, he attempted to kill Kyle Rayner and take his ring. The newest lantern, Simon Baz defended him and his ring was taken while Kyle's spirit became enfused in his ring before being taken by the Stranger. Possessing five Green Lantern Rings, Hal rules over North America with an emerald fist and is in charge of alien affairs. Rumor has it he is planning veagance against the Guardians with the Spectre's help.

The new Justice League: The new League, watched by the Stranger. * characters are concept characters that could be used for people who need help.

The Phantom Stranger- A mysterious watcher, he was one of the few who helped stop The Calamity and was unaffected. He ended up taking several items of importance before disappearing such as the Green Lantern ring of Kyle Rayner, the Helmet of Fate and other items before walking the Earth, searching for new heroes to take the place of the fallen.

Plastic Man- Known as The Last Hero to many, he managed to survive this due to his power and from the millinea he spent trapped under the sea. He travels with the Stranger in disguise in hopes of finding the new champions as well as putting to the rest the spirit of the fallen.

Resurrection Man: Mitchell Shelley was able to survive thanks to his phoenix-like gift. After his latest resurrection, he was granted the power to heal others, which he uses quite well, including to stave off his next resurrection (in order to maintain his healing power.)

Supergirl*- Revived by the Lazarus Pits by the Stranger, she has changed considerably, but is still a heroine and good person at heart. Also possesses little memory outside of the last five years since she was killed and revived.

Flash IV*- The fourth incernation of the Flash, after the death of Wally West.

Dr. Fate*- Whomever gets the Helmet of Fate

Green Lantern*- Whomever the ring of Kyle Rayner chooses.

Blue Beetle*- Whom the Scarab feels will live up to the paragon example of Jaime Reyes.

The rest is all up to you. Do your research and make your character.

Civilian Name: Diego Vendrix
Superhero Name: Vhaqax
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Preference: Hetero

Powers/Abilities: Possesses the powers of the deceased Captain Marvel. However, because of the destruction of the Greek Gods, Diego draws his power from six figures of Mayan, Aztec and Incan lore. He gains the Courage of Viracocha, the Stamina of Hunahpu, the Power of Apocatequil, the Wisdom of Quetzacoatl, the Speed of Ah Tabai and the Strength of Xbalanque. By shouting Vhaqax, the magic bolt of lightning strikes him to transform.

From the Courage of Viracocha, his optimism is made steadfast and his indominable will grants him an extraordinary inner power.

From the Stamina of Hunahpu, he can endure and withstand many things without stopping. He is also able to survive fine in extreme conditions including underwater and space.

From the Power of Apcatequil, he gains the magic thunder, famous for allowing his transformation as well provides his deep ingrained connection to magic. Being a creature of ancient and pure magic, he is also invulnerable to most magics and he can even use it to heal.

From the Wisdom of Quetzacoatl, he gains a powerful insight into mental matters as well into divine phenomena. Furthermore, he is granted ominilingualism with this power along with his mental facilities being reinforced.

From the Speed of Ah Tabai, he can fly and move at superhuman speeds and if needing to, can fly at the speed of light or above. His reflexes are also increased by a great deal.

From the Strength of Xbalanque, he is given powerful might, able to match those of Superman and Wonder Woman.

Beyond his powers granted as Vhaqax, he is a trained fighter and is able to handle himself if he is stuck in mortal form. Furthermore, he is pretty cunning and has learned how to adapt to almost any situation.

His weaknesses are powerful magic as well as redirecting his lightning can transform him back to Diego.

Tools/Gadgets: Has none as Vhaqax, but he carries a firearm just in case he is back as a mortal. However, by summoning the lightning and letting it strike the gun, he can electrify it and make the bullet into a lightning-fast magic bullet.

Appearance: He stands at five foot, 11 inches. He has low cheekbones, a boyish face and with slight stubble. His hair is black with subtle patches of very dark brown, mainly in the tips. His hair is kept trimmed and neat, however the ends on the back of his head are messy and spiky. He has slightly bigger than average eyes, which are chocolate brown. His eyes are large enough that they are noticeably larger than average, even by a margin amount. His skin is a pale shade of olive skin that could be seen from his face.

When he transforms into Vhaqax, he become six feet and six inches tall while becoming muscular much like Superman. He doesn't need his glasses in this form and his skin is mildly tanner as Vhaqax. His brown eyes also become a bright gold.

He wears a black T-shirt with a gold yingyang symbol on front and a white silhouette of Quetzalcoatl, portrayed as an Ouroboros with the crescent moon and sun in the center of the loop on the back. He has on some black cargo pants that has pockets to carry anything he needs to and black tennis shoes with a red spiral on them. He will sometimes different shoes, such as Nike Dart 10. He also has on a digital watch with him. He does change shirts to different slightly bizarre shirts, but overall this is kinda his basic attire. He will wear a fleece hoody if he is cold and will sometimes bring an earband and or a scarf. He also has his glasses on him.

When he transforms into Vhaqax, his uniform resembles that of Captain Marvel. He wears a main outfit with a lightning bolt on his chest with a chest with metallic gauntlets and boots. However, his uniform is golden instead of red and the lightning bolt is white instead of yellow. His golden gauntlets are a whitish silvers as are his boots. He wears the cape of the former Captain Marvel as a symbol of hope.

Personality: Diego is a warm and emotional person with an occasion fiery temper and an adventurous spirit. He is very empathetic and has a great desire to help people out. Beneath this outgoing facade, Diego is a shy and quiet person. He is also a very artistic individual as he will often draw whenever he gets the chance to do so. He is very loyal, but can come on as clingy, especially around girls. He also likes to cook. When in serious situations, he knows it is time for him to use his intelligence and strengths at their full capacity. He is very creative and known to be devious for his ideas. He is regarded as being very smart in many aspects. He also has a fascination with mythology, the supernatural, the sciences, arts, cooking and the traditional geeky things such as anime and manga. In fact, he tends to emulate the qualities of his heroes to help bolster his self-confidence.

He has his faults, however. Some of these are being blunt, sarcastic, laziness and often day-dreaming during certain moments and saying a weird comment afterward. Beyond that, he also has moments of self-righteousness, showing frustrated toward some of the less-than-savory characters, but holds his tongue when he needs to. He is prone to snarky or blunt comments and is often unable to figure out what to do in situations with people so will often mess things up, though he means no harm. More so, he seems to have a dark side, appearing only in his night mares. Despite this or because of it, he tries to overcome these traits to become a better person. Despite the downfall of the heroes and everything that he saw, including the loss of his family and friends, he never gave up hope. As a hero, he hopes to be a paragon the same way Superman used to be before he fell. Furthermore, much of his faults have soften up a great deal due to his trials in becoming a hero.

History: Born of Mexican heritage, Diego does not have of an interesting background. Born on the West Coast, his parents move to the Southeast a few months after his brother is born. He grew up being a bright but eccentric and lonely kid. Not able to understand that he was different and why the kids viewed him strangely, he took it in stride though his short temper would come out and showed that that the neglect gave him a growing self-loathing. In his mind, for every one of his age to avoid him and not being able to make friends until much later, made him wonder if something was the matter. Believing something was wrong with him, he repressed this self-loathing with optimism. He continued moving forward, though he became sulky and aggressive during middle school.

This coupled with his brother’s normalcy, growing contrasting personality and popularity made the two clash and a rift was created that Diego ultimately regretted and while on better terms, still views this as a shame. Regarding his parents, his father worked in Operations for a computer company while his mom was a homemaker. Diego loved both his parents but closer to his father because he was a very competent, patient and understanding man, despite his stubborn attitude and need for control. Diego loves his mom and anyone who offends her will be given the traditional Mexican treatment, i.e. a tongue lashing a chance for a beatdown. However, he views her slightly as a ditz and is exasperated by her occasional lack of practicality and frugality, though he sympathizes with her emotional side, due to being the same way.

Being left to his own devices with no real friends until later, Diego took to some of the nerd hobbies, mainly reading, video gaming and anime and manga. Being shy around some adults and never finding a mentor in the form an older peer, he centered his principles on heroes of various fictions as well as the various heroes of the Justice League. He hasn't met any of them, but he has seen a few before, namely Teen Titans. Emulating some of their properties and adopting their determination, they helped Diego forge a moral code. This combined with his stubbornness and intelligence, made him come off as someone who was devious in arguing and a smartass at times. In high school, as people matured and got used to him, Diego began mellowing out. However, he still holds a grudge to many a peer. To him, they did something wrong and the right thing to do would be to apologize. He does so and has often done so. This ratio adds to the self-loathing by making him think many things are because of his fault. This gradual compilation led to the formulation of a potential dark side. Retaining his assets while thriving on anger, sadness, revenge and other suppressed emotions , this is the side of him he does his best to restrain.

Ultimately, he finishes off high school with strong grades, the only Hispanic with honors and going to college. Then, it happened.

The Calamity.

He ended up surviving thanks to the help of Plastic Man, who saved him like many others. He ended up losing his family and friends. Rather than despair, he trudged on. His parents would not want him to remain like this. In order he retained his sanity, he ended up carving Hope in the building he was in. Before the heroes went bad, he remembered being on Wonder Woman's invisible jet, where he was taken to New York. He ended up hiding in the subways of New York and that's where he avoided everything like the heroes taking over and so on. One faithful night, he asked out loud to the subway if there was a way he could become a hero. As if to answer his prayers, something came.

A train. A train unlike any he has ever seen. One made of stone and decorated ornately with runes, pictograms and hieroglyphs. He rode the train deep into the bowles of the earth and arrived in a cavern that held statues epitomizing the Seven Deadly Enemies of Man, including Envy, Lust, Greed, Pride, Wrath, Sloth, and Gluttony. Within the cavern, Diego met him.

The ancient Wizard once called Shazam, a champion of mankind for thousands of years.

Withered with age, Shazam sat on a throne poised benaeth a giant stone block suspended above him as if by magic. He remained waiting for the sucessor of Billy Batson to come ever since the Calamity arrived. He offered Diego the chance to become the new hero, but he would need to conquer his darkness. And so Diego entered a room where he fought his demons. He struggled and outwitted and was ultimately able to make peace with his darker side and so he finally became whole and he was now able to become a hero. Taking the first letter of many powerful beings from his background as a Hispanic, he became the newest champion of humanity

"VHAQAX!"

While he wandered the streets after his meeting, he met the Stranger and was told of a new Justice League to free the world. He agreed to do so and awaits the heroes.

Le Prince de Fées

Spirit Conductor
Civilian Name: Astes Har-Scheft
Superhero Name: Dr. Fate
Age: 30
Gender: Male
Preference: Homosexual

Powers/Abilities:
As Dr. Fate, Astes has gained access to a vast array of mystical powers achieved through the invocation of Egyptian deities. He doesn’t always need to evoke the gods, but he is more powerful when he does. However, this is form of magic is taxing to use. When he uses these powers, his eyes glow with an intense, cyan colored arcane energy. He is in the beginning stages of exploring his powers, since he has only had the Helmet of Fate for six months. He has mastered the basic spells such as destructive eldritch blasts, durable force fields, minor telepathy and telekinesis. He is still learning to properly call upon the deities, and the results are sporadic at times.

The helmet has granted Astes enhanced intelligence as well, which is helpful when coupled with his already notable acumen. This effect lingers for a week or so when he is not wearing the helmet. Astes’ abilities are rapidly growing. At this point, he is not as powerful as previous bearers of the Helmet of Fate. His mind can only handle so much at this point, before breaking and making Astes susceptible to possession.

Tools/ Gadgets:
Helmet of Fate: Astes’ primary tool is the Helmet of Fate. He retains very little of his magical abilities when not wearing the helmet, only able to use telekinesis and his boosted intelligence. The helmet is an almighty artifact. It does more than grant the wielder impressive magic. When the helmet is equipped, the wearer is cloaked in the iconic garments of Fate, completing the look, but this can be prevented if the true wielder of the helmet chooses so. The helmet has a defense against those that it doesn’t want to wear it, causing a lot of psychic trouble for those attempting to forcibly wear the artifact. At one point in time, the Helmet of Fate contained the soul of Nabu, the creator of the artifact, and allowed him to possess weak-willed wearers or guide them. Now that Nabu is dead, this is no longer an issue, but the helmet is still able to guide the wearer and tutor them through telepathy.

Amulet of Anubis: The amulet grants its wearer vast magical abilities. The amulet has been known to contain soul fragments of the people who were previously Dr. Fate. The amulet also grants its wearer with the ability to perceive the world with supernatural ability. Currently, he is able to detect when magic is at work and see through illusions.

Cloak of Destiny: The cloak grants Astes with flight, enhanced strength, and enhanced durability. His enhanced strength and durability is not on the levels of Superman or Aquaman. It's akin to that of two humans, so it's only doubled.

Appearance:
Astes is statuesque man with a leanly muscled physique and brown skin. His Egyptian heritage has endowed him with dark features, giving him an exotic look. His short black hair is cropped closely and buzzed into a crew cut. His almond shaped eyes are the color of rich cinnamon. He has full lips, high cheekbones and a square jawline, all courtesy of his father. While his mother has passed along an aquiline nose. His eyebrows are straight and low, conveying an eternal expression of nonchalance.

Astes works in a professional setting, so a majority of his civilian clothes convey this image. He often wears stylish attire. He prefers to wear bold blazers, dark jeans, tailored button-ups and chic shoes. He also has more casual attire for days when he takes it easy and relaxes.

When taking action, Astes takes on the role of Dr. Fate and dons the epochal ensemble. The garments have been through many changes, but in it’s current state, it has celestial theme. The clothing that covers Astes’ body manifests as the night sky, stars twinkling along his frame in a midnight sky. This is by far the most interesting part of the costume, but the rest isn’t too shabby with its intricate, ornate design. A glowing, golden cape with an upturned collar drapes across his back. It is fastened to an amulet and trimmed with the same mystical material that covers his body. There are golden plates on his shoulders, with two bands around each of his biceps. There are blue gems embedded within his gauntlets. The gauntlets stop near the middle of his forearm. Astes’ belt is hefty and covers the lower half of his stomach to his waist. There is an ankh etched into the center of it. There are three golden bands that wrap around his upper thighs and below the belt. He wears a pair of golden knee high boots that have knee protecting armor attached to them. Of course he, he also wears the Helmet of Fate. All of the golden parts of his costume have a freshly polished look to them.

Personality:
Astes is a man driven by logic. He relates to the world through intellect and analysis, looking at things and breaking them apart to fully comprehend them. This can lead to him asking follow up questions to confirm what he thinks or to him talking aloud through his thoughts. Astes actively seeks information out as a hobby, so he is often reading or studying something new then sharing the information with anyone with an ear.

Typically an ardent and zany individual, Astes keeps to himself when his energy is low, but he will open up when he feels like talking and is actually chatty. He spends his time reflecting on himself and doing meditations to maximize his potential with magic. When emerging from his state of meditation, he feels invigorated. Even though this grants him time to create thoughtful and equitable plans, it prevents him from acting in the heat of the moment, which is needed at times. Astes concentrates considerable effort into create plans that he doesn’t have enough time to execute them.

When it comes to taking action, Astes is more concerned with the end result and will take the means he deems necessary to attain those results. This prompts him to take actions that may seem ruthless or dangerous. However, he is willing to rethink his plans if presented with a convincing argument and alternative option. Being a worldly, erudite man, he doesn’t stand for ignorance or hypocrisy and will question it.

History:
Astes’ grandparents were immigrants from Africa. They situated in New York, establishing a life for themselves. His father met his mother during medical school and they eventually married, creating Astes in the process. Astes grew up in a loving home that promoted education as the key to success. Naturally, Astes grew into a bookish child. He didn’t mind reading and relished the chance to do so. Being the only child, he didn’t have much else to do.

Astes was well aware that superheroes existed as their extraordinary deeds made the front pages of nearly every newspaper in the city. It seemed like there was always danger afoot when it concerned them. Astes admired them as a boy and always fancied what it would be like to zip around the city, handling issues that normal people couldn’t possibly fathom. This fascination is what lead Astes into his career as a journalist.

Astes moved to Metropolis after completing college, hoping to land a job at the Daily Planet. He knew he could never be as remarkable as Pulitzer Prize winning Lois Lane, but he wanted to at least have some of that talent rub off on him. Astes was able to land a gig. He was small fish in the sea compared to exceptional sharks that were present. Astes proved to be an outstanding investigative journalist, unearthing cool insights into the world of superheroes that helped the everyman feel closer to them.

Astes enjoyed a lucrative and fulfilling career as a journalist. Then came the year 2012. This year marked when The Calamity sprang upon the world. He was one of the first few journalist to report on the matter, keeping readers update through his personal blog. The situation was dire as society was crumbling and humanity was dropping by the hundreds. Even the heroes, who served as paragons of empowerment, turned to destruction during the crisis, leaving the remaining heroes to enforce totalitarian rule over the world. It was a frightening change from the golden age of heroes.

Astes was afraid like much of the world. Everything that they held dear changed greatly. What was left of the population were left to pick up the pieces and move forward. Astes made the best of the situation, looking for a way to help the world find hope. Eight years later, it came. An enigmatic man approached Astes. He was known as the Phantom Stranger, and he only appeared during times of severe duress. He did not come empty-handed. He came bearing the Helmet of Fate, claiming that it lead him to Astes. Astes was shocked and in disbelief that it chose him, but he was willing to accept the call to arms. The Phantom Stranger instructed him to wear the helmet and travel to New York when he was prepared. With that, he vanished, leaving Astes with the ancient artifact.

After placing the artifact on his head, Astes was taken through time, witnessing the feats of all of the previous owners, learning from them. The helmet believed that Astes was the rightful owner and informed him of the mechanics of magic. For next six months, Astes spent time practicing and preparing for the next phase of his journey: to return home to New York City.

EDIT: I've included the Amulet and Cloak.

Yo, long time no see. I hope you're ok with a robot character.

Civilian Name: U.S. Guardian Class Artificial Soldier, Serial Code A-001
Superhero Name: Ronin
Age: Physically early 20's, but is actually about 8 years old
Gender: Technically genderless, but prefers masculine pronouns.
Preference: Asexual

Powers/Abilities
Built for Battle: Ronin was specifically designed for combat, meaning it comes natural to him thanks to his programming. He can fight with virtually any weapon, or even without one, but he's most familiar with the weapons he currently uses.

Made of Metal: Ronin's metallic body as well as the armor he wears on top of it makes him extremely resilient, but it also means he's highly susceptible to magnetic powers.

Supercomputer Processing: Ronin has fast reflexes from being able to make decisions in mere nanoseconds, and he has an eidetic memory allowing him to remember anything he learns. A large memory however means he has to sift through it all to recall something that was not prioritized in his memory banks, which can take him some time even with being able to go through terabytes of info in a few seconds.

Feels No Pain: Because his programming warns him of injury without making him feel pain, Ronin won't even so much as flinch if he is hurt.

Robotic: Being a machine, Ronin is completely immune to powers meant to control or trick the human mind, nor does he need to breathe, eat, drink, or sleep. He can however be targeted by hacking instead (though being government technology doing so wouldn't be easy), and can malfunction or even shut down from EMP or high voltage electricity.

Tools/Gadgets
Beam Saber: A sword with a blade made of concentrated plasma, it is hot enough to cut through almost anything.

Arm Cannon: Both of Ronin's arms can shift into an energy cannon that fires single blasts of energy. Though not as powerful as the Beam Saber, they can easily take care of unarmored targets well enough, and provide Ronin with a means of attacking at range.

Jet Boosters: Small jets in Ronin's leg armor not strong enough for flight (perhaps they would be if he wasn't made of solid metal), but allow him to quickly glide across the ground. Can also use them in short bursts to quickly shift himself out of the way of an attack.

Vision Augmentations: When in normal vision Ronin's eyes are steel grey, but he has different visions that change his eye color when he uses them: Night Vision turns his eyes lime green and allows him to see in the dark, Thermal Vision turns his eyes crimson red and allows him to see heat signatures even through obstructions like smoke, X-Ray Vision turns his eyes sky blue and allows him to see organic skeletons even through most walls, and lastly a special Abnormal Vision that turns his eyes magenta which makes entities with special powers radiate an aura around them when this vision is used. Every vision other than his normal one causes his eyes to glow in the dark.

Appearance: Ronin stands at exactly 6'0 feet weighing around 250 pounds. Despite being a machine for combat, he was given an exterior of white synthetic skin to make him appear much more human. His eyes are usually steel grey (though it changes depending on what vision he uses), and his synthetic hair is short and black. He's not usually out of his armor, but when he is, he wears clothes that are simple and concealing. Though somewhat faded, the words "Property of the U.S. Army" can be seen on the back of his neck.

When he has his armor on (more attached than worn really, it becomes attached to him to prevent enemies from ripping it off), Ronin's entire body with the exception of his face is covered by it. The armor is black with dark grey at the joints, and a single red triangular gem on the the part of the helmet covering the forehead. The armor is mostly rounded to deter enemies from getting a good grip on it to try to grapple or throw Ronin. On the back of the chest piece is charger station connected to Ronin's body that his beam saber is usually holstered in, charging its energy while it isn't being used. The hand and wrist parts of the armor are specially designed to shift with the rest of Ronin's arm when they turn into Arm Cannons.

Personality: Ronin is normally fairly quiet. He will talk if needed to, but he's not one to initiate a friendly conversation. He has a very business like approach to his work and can seem very cold and uncaring. This is more him not usually expressing his full emotions; he cares a lot about protecting the innocent and enacting justice whether it seems like it or not. Generally he believes doing the right thing means not always doing good things, and he can be downright merciless in combat.

Like most machines, Ronin's actions are generally powered by logic. He doesn't let his emotions get in the way of his job, which is a big reason why he seems so apathetic. When talking he is very blunt and gets straight to the point, which can throw people off sometimes. His sense of humor is also...somewhat undeveloped. Normally he prefers to work alone, but he will be a team player if he needs to be. Ronin is also cautious and slow to trust people, but once you earn his trust it's hard to lose it.

If there is one thing Ronin expresses emotion for, its freedom. He is fiercely independent; though he will work for someone, he would never willingly let himself be owned by anyone. He is sensitive about being made to be a weapon, and hates being considered a tool to be used. As such, there is nothing in the world Ronin detests more than slavery. If you thought he was merciless before, you really don't want to know what it would be like to be a slaver facing the business end of his beam saber.

History: Ronin's story began 8 years ago, when The Cataclysm first happened. The U.S. military, desperate for more firepower and being unsure that even the superheroes of the world were enough to stop this new threat, turned to science to combat The Cataclysm. They began several new projects as top secret facilities hidden away in remote parts of the United States, including "Project Guardian", a project to create artificial soldiers. The leader of the project was a scientist who immigrated from Japan named Akatsuki Takeba.

The scientists worked day and night, often going days without sleep and starving themselves to work on the project, knowing the lives of them, their families, and the whole country could depend on it. After a few months of development, a prototype was created, given the serial code A-001. Akatsuki made the prototype partly in his image, as some of the scientists noted that the robot looked someone like a younger Akatsuki. The head scientist ran many of the tests to test A-001's functionality himself, having conversations with him, having him solve puzzles, testing his battle capabilites. Akatsuki saw A-001 as the son he never had, and gave him the name Ronin after the lordless samurai of feudal Japan.

In a hurry to make sure A-001 was viable in the field, he was sent out to be field tested. Results were promising, but by this point the war was in its later stages and the American government had mostly collapsed. He was content with fighting in the war, but disliked how the military he thought with considered him to be nothing more than a weapon. By the end of the war, A-001 learned that the lab he had been built in was discovered and destroyed; there were no survivors. Losing the only people he ever really knew and had any loyalty to, as the war drew to a close and the new regimes took power, A-001, now calling himself Ronin, fled to Siberia, swearing never to be used as a tool again.

He stayed there for 8 years, staying under the radar. With no need to eat and the frigid temperatures being no consequence to him, Ronin could live peacefully in the Siberian wilderness, away from humans who could take advantage of him. It was here about 6 months ago that he was found by the Phantom Stranger, having being heard about in rumors from a nearby village that a strange armored man lived in the forests. Ronin agreed to join him, but only on the condition that he be treated as an individual, and not as a weapon.

Lieker of Mudkipz
WIP yaaaaayyyyyyyy

Civilian Name: Veronica Newman
Superhero Name: The Flash
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Preference: Heterosexual

Powers/Abilities: Access to the Speed Force – This entails incredible speed (the limits of which are virtually limitless), the ability to drain kinetic energy from her surroundings, an accelerated metabolism, and the capability to vibrate through solid objects. However, unlike The Flashes before her, Veronica’s link with the Speed Force is weakened, but not severed, by radioactive substances. This slowly lowers her maximum speed to the speed of sound at the least, and her ability to vibrate through walls and drain kinetic energy become gradually more uncontrollable as the exposure’s strength increases.

Tools/Gadgets: Veronica wears a suit similar to the previous Flashes, but instead of a cowl, she wears an air filter over her mouth and chin that allows her to take in larger amounts of oxygen than normal so that she can hold her breath in spaces without air for an extended period of time. This filter is also connected to a small detachable tank of trail mix on her shoulder that can be delivered straight to her mouth when she taps a button under her arms. Additionally, her suit is equipped with retractable spikes on the outside of her arms pointed towards her hands so that she can cut as she runs by.

Appearance: Veronica stands at 5’7”, being of an athletic body with long, muscular legs, and a strong abdomen. She is relatively thin, and looks the part as well. There isn’t much fat on her body at all, but her feet and hands are wide and bulky. Veronica’s arms are thin but long. Her bust is slightly above average, but still not of particular note. Veronica is of fair skin and Caucasian with light blue eyes and silky, straight brown hair. Her hair is cut right short on her left side, coming down just past her ears. However, on her right side, her hair comes down to her stomach. Her nose is somewhat sharp and angular, while being low profile and somewhat wide. Her face is of the oval shape but has a tapering jawline and angular cheekbones.

When in civilian clothes, Veronica will wear whatever suits her fancy, but prefers the same shade of blue as her eyes. Her clothing will range from dresses to tight tank tops and sweatpants, but she especially likes the latter. She may throw in a skirt or hoodie, but her favored formula is dark orange sneakers, white socks, a light blue tank top, and gray sweatpants.

Veronica’s uniform highly resembles the previous Flash’s uniform in terms of material, covering her body like a bodysuit. However, unlike that uniform, Veronica’s iteration has the Flash Lightning Bolt originating on her left shoulder and ending on her right hip. A similar lightning bolt pattern surrounds her waist like a belt. Instead of a mask, she wears the suit material over her face like a handkerchief, but it is attached to the suit. She tucks her hair in here. This material has the aforementioned air filter in it. The spikes also mentioned before appear on her arms.

Personality: Veronica is a strong-willed, free spirited woman who conducts herself in such a manner as to contradict stereotypes. She does not believe that being a woman who promotes her own independence necessarily means that she cannot act girly. In fact, Veronica is quite feminine, loving the theater, makeup, shopping, running track, and flirting with boys. However, she hates being tied down by rules and the establishment. She fully intends to do things her way, whenever she wants. Because of this, she is not particularly good at following orders. However, if someone orders her to do something, she will not respond angrily. Instead, she will express how little she cares.

Veronica is actually quite bashful, though, despite her extroversion, caring a lot about what people think of her. When embarrassed, she can get quite flustered, and Veronica is very easily embarrassed. It is also very easy for her to get confused or lose her cool in stressful situations. She is impatient and struggles with listening to others. Veronica will tend to throw herself headlong into battle, but is averse to ruining nice clothes. The thought of dying does not scare her, but Veronica deals with fear in general by telling herself and others that she doesn’t care or changing the subject and ignoring the problem altogether.

History: Veronica grew up an only child in an atheistic home where it was impressed upon her that religion was wrong, that being girly was wrong, and essentially that having an opinion that differed from her parents was wrong. This became semi-abusive, so Veronica acted exactly as they wanted at home and did not speak out against it at all, but behaved as girly and Christian and homophobic as humanly possible at school. Her parents found out about it when she was 12, and gave her what for. It was ultimately decided that she would be homeschooled from that day forward. However, Veronica continued to sneak out with her friends and conduct her life in this manner.

When Veronica turned 16, her parents entrusted her with her first car, and things began to look up for her. They began having serious conversations about their beliefs. Veronica finally admitted to them that she did what she did because they had pressed so hard for her to be like them, and she wanted to be free and independent to make her own decisions and views on what the world was and should be. They, in turn, admitted that, although they had so liberally supported freedom of choice, they had forgotten the “freedom of choice” part of that. Because of these conversations, Veronica stopped being so homophobic and accepted others’ worldviews as legitimate, even if she didn’t agree with them at all. And then the world started ending.

As it all started to fall apart, her parents mysteriously died, and Veronica had to fend for herself. While this was all happening, superhuman fighting took to the streets, and it was reported that the Flash had gone missing. Soon after his disappearance, Wally West himself knocked on Veronica’s door, but she didn’t know who it was. All she saw was a bloody, half-crippled, powerless man, almost scraping along the ground. She screamed, but Wally begged for her to listen. “I’ve gone door to door, but no one will believe that it’s me!” “Who are you anyway?” she squealed. “I’m the Flash! I’m Wally West!” “Prove it!” “I can’t, I-I lost my power! But there’s no time. I-I-I’m about to die.” “W-w-w” “Please, just listen! I don’t have much time. The Speed Force it-it-it-it led me to you. You’re supposed to be the one-the one to carry on the Flash. T-T-T-Take thisss…” As he died, Wally stretched out a paper with an address written on it.

“WAIT! Why me? What am I supposed to do? And why me?” She shook Wally’s lifeless body. After much debate, she took her car and drove to the address. It was Wally’s house, filled with chemicals, beakers, and boiling water. A trail of bloody sticky notes led her to one beaker in particular, with a sticky note that simply said, “FLASH” and was filled with a glowing red liquid. Well, he wins points for subtlety I guess, she thought. This is all just too crazy. What’s the harm? And she took a swig. Almost immediately, she was approached by the Phantom Stranger. He told her to stay hidden, to train her ability, and to join with the New Justice League when the time came. Over the next 8 years, she became more and more familiar with her powers while flying under the radar of the higher-up superhumans. She was again contacted, being told to come to New York.

Due to stuff and thaaaangs, I'll scrap my WIP and start anew later today/tomorrow.

I <3 Catgirls
Against my better judgement, because I don't know how active I will be and might just drop out or not even finish my character, reserve me Starfire please. Dunno if I'll use the New 52 version, cartoon version, or old comic version yet.

Ronin sounds like a lot of fun! and so far so good on the Flash! Want more ideas, look some of the lesser-known heroes or even be hero versions of villains! Like Dr. Alchemy and so on.

Bron: Hmm... I never did say regarding if you could play as some canon characters. I have seen you play Starfire and you are good. I'll currently put it on Pending and talk to you about in private.

I'm a huge fan of Donna Troy. (Cred to those who know who she is) and I'll base my character off at least her appearance.

Well, we do need a Wonder Woman-esque like character. Interesting concept, Schade

Metallic Wonder
That being said, he won't be based on her as a character. Only her appearance-ish

Civilian Name: Alexander "Alec" Eberhart
Superherovillain Name: Starshade
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Preferemce: Bi
Powers/Abilities
- Expert Combatant: Alec is trained in a variety of martial arts.
- Shadow manipulation: Alec can leap into shadows, and re-appear everywhere he desire, as long as there are shadows. He can also completely melt into shadows to become invisible. He can also manifest a dark shadow-like matter into weapons he can wield. Though this is restricted to swords, knives and guns, since those are the weapons he masters. He can also emit a dark shadowy fog to blind enemies. (this Works better in already dark areas)
- Expert Acrobat: Alec is very quick and durable.

Tools/Gadgets
- Robins utility belt. (containing a variety of gadgets and Tools.)
- Donna Troys Lasso of Persuasion: Though it doesn't have the Power to influence others wil when wielded by Alec, he use it for a lot of purposes. (He obtained it after an encounter With the Teen Titans during a mission)

Weaknesses
- Sunlight. After being exposed to a shard from The Heart of Shadows, Alec can't stay out in the sun for too long.

Appearance: Alec is a medium tall Young man With an overall slender physique. Despite being slender, he's quite muscular due to training to always be in top shape. His skin is pale, and due to his genetic Heritage, he doesn't get tans easily. His hair is medium short, and is usually kept in a messy Natural look. He's originally a redhead, and his hear have a fiery color. He have pale blue eyes, and gently curved eyebrows over them t give him a weird mix of a soothing and a serious look.

Alecs outfits are mostly of the cheaper kind. He's the kind of guy that prefer being comfortable rather than stylish. That being said, he wear a pair os tight jeans to enable max flexibility and movement if necessary. Good running-shoes etc. He wears a dark blue T-shirt With the red bat-logo, similar to that of Batwoman, and a jeans jacket over that again. This casual outfit is normally used as a disguise from his working outfit. His "hero costume" consists of a sleeveless unitard "colored" With a moving image of the starry night sky (Reference), enabeling him camouflage at night. He also wear a pair of slim silvery white boots and a pair of matching gloves. Alec also wear the yellow utility belt of the Boy Wonder, Robin, whom he murdured for a contract. He also wear a tattered scarf that he keeops over his mouth sort of like a mask, in order to cover up his Identity (to a certain degree)

Personality: Being a killer for hire, Alec is good at hiding his feelings. Not that it's really that difficult for him, concidering the fact that he barely have any to begin With. Alec is the kind of person that puts his own interest and priorities above all else. He's a Cold-hearted indivividual and have no troubles With killing, and he rarely ever care if he kills for the good side or the bad side. Though he follows his own ways, Alec is good at taking orders from People he think worthy of commanding him around. Due to mostly being alone, he's grown quite socially awkward.

The influence of the heart of shadow have also erased a big part of Alec's empathy for others. Though he's not aware of it himself. This is the reason for his selfish and harsh nature. Despite that, he is capable of having genuine feelings like a normal person. And he absolutly hates it. Alec's solidary lifestyle often ends up With him getting lonely and emotional. Whenever that happens, Alec distract himself by taking on a contract for a hit. He often takes his own insecurity and feelings out on others in form of violent beatings, torture of taunting. Regardless of who his victims are. Alec goes to the part offering him the most Money, be it good or evil forces.

History: Alec was born into a rather poor Family, living in a shelter in Gotham City. His father was an ex-Marine, and his mother had been unemployed most of her life. With no other relatives, Alec lived With his Family in poverty during his entire childhood. Though the Family was overly dysfunctional, they had fun where they got it, and enjoyed doing Things together as a Family. One night though, as they were walking the streets of North Burnley, an assassin named Deathstroke arriwed to settle a contract on Alec's father's head. Apparently, Alec's father knew "too much" about something from his former life in the marine, and had to be dealt With. Taking his mother as well to take out witnesses, Deathstroke decided not to kill Alec, due to the lack of fear in his eyes. Instead, he took Alec With him as his New trainee, Learning him proper fighting technique, as well as other nifty Things about being a killer for hire.

Years later, in his late teens, Alec was deemed ready for his first solo mission. This happened by Deathstroke giving him the responsibility of one of his contracts: Steal a shard from the Heart of Darkness from the Gotham Museum. The contractw as given by Intergang, since they needed it for their schemes. Being excited about his first real solo-mission, Alec dove in heads first. Getting into the museum was simple enough, and Alec found his way to the target. Using Tech to disable the alarms, Alec managed to fiddle out the shard. But the moment he touched it, he was infused With its dark energy. The shard granted Alec mystic Powers, but before he could really figure out what happened. He was interrupted by Batman and his sidekick, Robin. After being struck by a small bolt of fear (as he had never actually encountered the dark Knight, but only heard stories about him) a fight started. Even With Deathstrokes harsh training, Alec couldn't manage to hold his own when being attacked by both Batman and Robin.

In order to turn the Battle to his advantage, Alec managed to use his newly found Powers to temporarily knock out Batman. With one of the two assaulters out, he turned his full attention to Robin. despite being a less skillfull fighter than Batman, Robin managed to hold his own quite well. The fight was very even, until Alec managed to slice his throat before stabbing the Boy Wonder in the stomach, thus ending the fight. Thinking nothing over the fact that he just killed a person, Alec took Robins Utility Belt With him before fleeing the scene. What happened to Batman after that, Alec don't know.

When everything started to hit the fan, a few years later. Alec had broken free from Deathstroke, and worked as an assassin. Being able to afford more now than he could before, he usually spent his time in aritzy appartment With books etc. He's trying to keep a somewhat low profile, seeing as the former justice League was now keeping better watch over criminal Activity, though not being as merciful as they used to. Alec's current situation, is heading to New york for a hit.

Okay, some other news. The villains who escaped from the Batman were Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and Mr. Freeze. Harley's vanished and Mr. Freeze is in hiding with Nora (who became a good version of Lazara). Poison Ivy also regained her empathy. Lex is probably still out there and Kandor is placed in Austrailia, hiding from Superman. I have some more info if you wanted to know.
