Rather than begin the traditional trek around the region you’ll been given the opportunity to sail around the nation, experiencing exotic locales and seeing rare Pokemon. Experience a journey like no other!

Only four days into your voyage and a sudden storm has arisen. The rain and wind assail the ship with a ferocity unseen inland. An enormous swell slaps against the hull of the S.S. Anne, rocking the ship to the starboard side. A flash of lightening splits the darkness while thunder trembles in the air.

A shout rises above the din of the storm a moment before your cabin is flooded by the orange glow of the emergency lights. “We’re taking on water! Get to the life rafts!” You gather your essential belongings and rush out into the chaos. Young trainers are rushing from their cabins, faces stricken with fear. Keep cool. Keep moving. One of the ship’s crew is herding people to the far end of the corridor and up the stairs.

You rush to the exit. As you step on to the deck the rain bites at your face and you see another swell quickly approaching the boat. “Brace yourselves,” an attendant shouts as the water pours over the deck. Some people are knocked back by the raging ocean; others have clung to the rigging to remain on foot.

When the wave subsides everyone rushes to the life rafts. As you climb into one of the rafts and begin your descent to the churning water below your mind races. Will you survive the storm?

As you may have guessed, in this RP you'll be a new trainer that has set out on the S.S. Anne before encountering disaster. Your life raft is lead ashore by the ocean currents, however, you seem to be marooned on an uninhabited island. There are many wild pokemon, but no signs of civilization. The question is how will you and your companions survive and find your way back home.

So here's what I need to see from you.

Age:
Description: Tell me about your characters physical traits and the things that they have with them. Include things that you have on your person.
Personality: What's your character like? Please avoid brooding cliches that won't interact with other characters.
Background: Where are you from? Do you have a family? What was your grandmother's maiden name? (Well, maybe that's a bit much...)
Pokemon: I'd like to leave this pretty open, but within reason. Only unevolved Pokes from Kanto/Johto. Pick something that you think people would start with. Most importantly, give it some personality. It's your friend and companion, not just a walking multi-tool.

I hope to see 4-6 interested. If necessary I'll RP a character though I'd like to remain the impartial GM.

Name:Serenity
Age:15
Description: She wears an orange long sleaved low cut top, a short blue skirt and red open toed wedges. She has blonde hair with black highlights, a Beautifly clip and pokeball earings.
Personality:She is very bubbly and trys to make the best out of any sitchuation. She is calm and laid back because she talks out her troubles insted of worrying about them all the time. She loves battles and will always stop for a battle of any kind. she uses her head and thinks first about stratagy insted of brute strength-but it cirtainly helps!
Background: Serenitys' family are a group of phycics that have lived in Celadon city for ten genarations in the exact same naibourhood.
Pokemon: She has a gentle Charmander who she hopes to use in the pokemon leauge. It is almost like a comody act, when she hurt herself on the way it made her laugh so much that she nearly wet her pants.

Name:Rai
Age:13
Description: He has short silver coloured hair that is spiked up. He's usually wearing a red zip up hooded top with jeans and a white sleeveless T-shirt underneath. His trainers are just plain white. He also wears a black band near his wrist to remember about his best friend who left on her journey earlier than he did.
Personality: Rai doesn't take much liking to being crowded around with other people. He can change from being calm to in the middle of a firey temper within only a few seconds. He is very athletic and is used to running a long distance.
Background: Rai's family isn't around anymore after an accident involving the legendary birds, Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres, were they were attacked by all three. The only family he has is his cousin in Violet city who is also the gym leader, Faulkner.
Pokemon: Shiny Phanpy. The Phanpy is really energetic and can also go really hyper-active at points. Even though it is the rarer colour its abilities are weak meaning its got the same strengh as a normal Phanpy. It's only ambision is to evolve into a Donphan. Another is to fly, but i don't think that's ever going to happen.

Flygonrulz: That seems acceptable though a little short. You've got a basic idea that you can develop as the RP rolls along. As for your psychic background, we'll develop it slowly. Perhaps it could begin as a very good intuitive sense.

Ex-ty: Hmm.... your character seems a little too special, too unique. It seems unlikely that he's had the very rare fortune to encounter the legendary birds and possess a shiny. If your character has seen so many exciting things then what happens in our story might seem mundane.

When I RP I prefer to start with a character that is ordinary, but make them extraordinary through the story. If you tone his story done a bit we might be able to make something work.

Name: Emily Walker

Age: 12

Description: Emily is smaller than the average twelve-year old, and she's thinner than a normal one would be too. She has dark, brown hair, with a pair of the same coloured eyes to match. Her skin is a tan colour, making her look like someone who's been on holiday ( sp? ) for a month, and got a really nice tan. She wears a beige t-shirt with thin, beige trousers to match, with a lime green bandanna on her head, with the "Yin-Yang" symbol on it. She wears white trainers with a purple star on the opposite sides. Emily has a gold necklace with a Tiger Shark canine hanging, just in the veiw of sight. She also has a sapphire braclet on her hand.

Personality: A very sacastic and humorus girl who will take any chance to get some action in her life. Emily will often get into things which aren't worth getting for herself. Like Tai, Emily is a born leader, just, she's not that willing to go into battle sometimes. If you make fun of her, she will pick a fight with you, and will try to win at all times. If she loses, then she begins plotting her revenge against you. She is nice, it's just hard for her to show it, and with all the pressure that goes on her at school, she has learnt to hate most kids, especially young, and loud ones.

Background: Emily, was a young girl living in Saffron City. She had a peaceful life with her family, until Team Rocket came. They killed her parents, but Emily managed to escape in time. By the time she had reached Lavender Town, Emily was exuasted. Her name came from a great ancestor, and her father was a well known professor who, before he died, gave Emily her first pokemon. Her mother was a nurse in the nearby pokemon center.

Pokemon: Staryu - A very selom and witty creature that only wanders away from Emily for laughs. He is a bit casual at times, but won't get involved with anything dirty. Staryu, is a bit nice at times, but he hates to show it, and he's always in thought. His trademark is his motto: "NEVER be Normal!".

When we hit four people I think we'll begin. (We have three provided Ex-ty makes a few revisions.) If we don't have a fourth before noon tomorrow I'll throw in a character of my own and we'll get started. If others come later we can start them in a different location on the same island.

You were fine Fly, but the change is good too. I appreciate that you took the advice even if it wasn't directed at you. With that attitude I'm sure we'll have a good RP.

Also I think I'll allow Johto Pokes. I forgot just how few we were dealing with only Kanto species. If this affects what you'd like to have feel free to change.

Name:Ivan

Age: 13

Description: Tell me about your characters physical traits and the things that they have with them. Include things that you have on your person.Stands five feet ten, blonde hair, and loves to sleep.
Wears a yellow
torso and yellow shorts (even in winter). Likes to
carry an averaged
sized bag to carry all of his stuff.

Personality: What's your character like? Please avoid brooding cliches that won't interact with other characters. Everything yellow stands out to him. he can get along with everyone pretty well, though he likes to stay to himself often. When he meets someone new he gets shy.

Background: Ivan was born in Pallet town. When he was 3 he met a pokemon from an older trainer. Ivan loved the pokemon, it was an eevee. Ever since Ivan wanted an Eevee. When he was 13 he finally got his first pokemon, eevee. His parents decided to move to Vermillion city. They thought this would be the best place for Ivan to start his journey.

Pokemon: Eevee

Eevee has a hard time staying quiet. It can never stop talking for more than five seconds. Is basically scared of almost everything. When in pokemon battles eevee has one objective, to win.

Name: Marina Bell Hunter
Age: 13 (birthday: May 19)

Description: A 5'3 female with a skinny frame. She has her bands pinned out of her eyes by barrettes, and her jet black hair goes down to the midst of her back. Her blue eyes compliment her fair beige-colored skin. She wears a navy blue short sleeved t-shirt with black jeans; she also has a red bandana as well. She also wears a locket with a picture of her father in it.

Personality: She's quiet most of the time, but when she's around people, she usually is bubbly and in a cheerful mood. She loves playing video games, and playing football with her friends. She does like singing and writing stories. Marina wants to be considered an individual by people and not some tomboy.

Background: Marina's parents are well known pokemon trainers, but they have never won any championships or challenges, they were known for fierce spirit. Marina lives at Lavender Town.

Pokemon: A fiesty shiny colored vulpix named Sassy. Sassy is sort of pompous(sp?) when it comes to being pretty, and it can get her into trouble. When she's in danger, Sassy will do anything to destroy the opponnet(sp?), big or small. She wants to prove that big things can come in small packages (if you get what I'm saying).

WiggleTuff: I feel a bit more confident with a sign up like yours; you're definitely in.

I'll do a small post introducing you both to the island and then you can feel free to post in the thread as you like. I hope everyone enjoys our adventure and learns a bit about rp'ing as we go.

Name: Aileta
Age: 13
Description: She has long blonde hair that goes half way down her back. Her sleevleess emerald green shirt and dark blue mini skirt made her the main target for boys back in Fushia. She carries around a pink handbag that carries all her most needed items such as her many pokeblock cases.
Personality: Aileta is strange for a girl as she likes all the stuff girls do but also stuff that boys like doing like she enjoys girly talks and talks about stuff like football. Her attitude is usually calm but she can sometimes go very stressed out.
Background: Aileta is from Fushia city and is well known by the residents there as Koga's assistant. Although all she does is feed the pokemon and look after them. All her life she's wanted to be a breeder.
Pokemon: a baby Kangaskhan. It's the baby from out of the adults pouch. The babies mother is Aileta's best friend in the Safari Zone as she gets free acess as long as doesn't catch any pokemon. Instead she be-friends them and she was trusted to look after the baby as her next big challenge of breeding.

Age:14
Description: She's about 5'7, has blue eyes, and brown hair. She wears a green t-shirt, blue jeans, and a pair of flip flops. She usually has her long brown hair up in a pony-tail. She carries a guitar case (with a guitar in it) on her back.
Personality: She's very kind but can get angry easily. She's very sensative about her family, they sent her on this cruise becuase her brother said she was on drugs (not true though). She's kind of quiet and can't take a leader ship role ever.
Background: She's from Vermillion City. Her father divorced her mother when she was young, but she doesn't remember why. Her mother is always busy, she works three jobs just to make ends meet. Her brother, Kevin, is twenty and always sits around like a lazy pig, trying to get her away because he thinks she's the reason her father moved away. Kiki loves to swim with her mother, but since her mother doesn't have time anymore she goes by herself.
Pokemon: Christina (Cris) the Chikorita. Cris is almost always happy and optimistic. She's very loyal to Kiki, always right by her side, and would give her life for Kiki. She takes pride in her appearence, and because of that, hates to get dirty.
