Kanto GF Idea

CyberCubed

Yeah, ok!
Would be interesting I suppose.

Having two Pokemon appeal at the same time would be cool, they could even combine their appeals, such as Combusken and Squirtle combining their Fire spin and Ice beam attacks to form a dazzling display of color.

Yep.

I can see that happening... later...

I've always wanted this to happen. The difficulty of ordering two Pokemon at once and making both their appeals flow in harmony is quite the difficult task.

It's the perfect thing to test top Co-Ordinator's skills, thus suits the Grand Festival.
I've always wanted one of May's Pokemon to know Confusion or Psychic, then have Bulbasaur use Petal Dance or Beautifly use Silver Wind to spiral around her. That would be awesome <3

Well if the old "May's Eevee will evolve into Espeon" theory is correct, that just might be possible. :D

Don't take this the wrong way, I don't mean to offend you, but how could you possibly know that it's difficult to have them both appeal at once? There's never been an example in the show or game to proove one way or the other. I could see it being quite easy for the writers to come up with ways for them to flow infact. Just use two attacks that flow together in the game (for example, Sunny Day and Flame Thrower, or Hail and Ice Beam)

Ummm...because you have to worry about 2 appeals instead of 1? Remember, appeals don't always go completely as planned [unless you're Squirtle >.>] so May is bound to screw up if she has to double appeal.

Of course it's going to be difficult, you don't just order an attack and then 'lolwuturdun'. You have to combine attacks, movements, and timing to make an appeal flow nicely. It takes work.

Yeah well the one pokemon appeals have gotten boring. I say its time for something new, at least for the GF.

I don't think it's difficult because we haven't seen 2 pokemon performing at once. So we can hope about someday the writer will let Pokemon Contest have Double Performance.

Uhmm, there's an example: Do you still remember the Episode about Bellossom. Even though it wasn't Contest but two Bellossom made an excellent show

I think it would be awesome to see two pokemon performing appeals at the same time. Combos between Conbusken's and Suirtke's attacks, or even Munchlax' metronome and Eevee's shadow ball. I can't imagine how wonderful would be it. However I don't think that it will happen becuase writers are not so creative.

I hope double appeals will be what the Grand Festival is all about, because it would be interesting to see how May will handle it.

Keep in mind that they had been practicing that one routine for quite a long time, while you have to think of a different and fresh appeal in every Contest [unless you're Squirtle >.>]

Besides, it's common knowledge that in Fillers like that, the Pokemon don't tend to screw up. They'll be gone within 20 minutes anyways, so why not just let them do there bit and get the hell out of there? May, on the other hand, is a Main Character and the show partly focuses on her. She has to make mistakes to show that she's still human. She only has 1 Grand Festival under her belt, not that it isn't a great feat, but Ash is still making mistakes with little dumb things after going through 3 Leagues and winning a Tournament.

As has been stated, I think Double Appeals are needed because let's face it, the writers aren't exactly wooing us with their 'throwing a baseball' and 'hula dancing' appeals. They seem to have lost their creativity. Also the lack of Attacks is partly to blame.
Gonbe only knows 3 Attacks, 2 need charging and one is indefinite. Eevee has 2 attacks [though I hear it knows Tackle as well] one of which takes time to execute [digging under ground them popping up again]. Combusken and Squirtle are the Pokemon with the most attacks, but Squirtle's Moveset is painfully generic. Bah...I want Beautifly, Skitty, and Bulbasaur back ;o;

Not just May I wouldn't mind seeing Drew and Harley do it too, and Robert is he returns, 99% chance he wont after winning the last one :/ Wanaka trying this out would be funny, I could imagine her now with her little Drew Pokemon and her cheerful disposition. That is if she even gets to the Grand Festival, I hope she's not one of those Timmy, Kelly, Erika and Joshua opponents who just appear cheering for her in front of the television.

Anyway yes this would be cool.

I like the idea of double-mode appeals.

*Picturing Robert's appeal in the Hoenn GF with Claydol and Milotic*

That would be something, have Claydol launch an Ice Beam into the air, shatter it with Milotic's Hydro Pump, then have the latter use Mirror Coat as the ice shards and water rain down onto it.

I like this idea a lot.....

CyberCubed

Yeah, ok!
So many people keep putting emphasis on Robert. Why would he show up when there hasn't been a single reference to him in the entire BF saga so far?

The writers only used him again because they needed someone to win the Hoenn GF, and Robert fit the bill. I don't think we'll be seeing him again.
