I Crush Everything
I thought I'd kick off this year by bringing back a game I enjoyed on this forum: The karaoke game! The premise: Post a snippet of song lyrics that contains the final word of the previous post's lyrics.
Example:
Post 1: Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are
Post 2: Morning bells are ringing, morning bells are ringing, ding dang dong, ding dang dong.
And so on.
A few rules:
- The song you post has to be a different song from the song above - covers don't count as different songs, so you can't, for example follow up The Isley Brothers's Twist & Shout with the Beatles' Twist & Shout
- Different forms of a word are only applicable if the entire previous word is present in the alternate-form of the word. So "see" can be followed up with "seen", but it can't be followed up with "saw", as "saw" does not contain "see". Similarly, "seen" cannot be followed up with "see", as while "seen" contains "see", this is not true vice versa.
- If you find a post which makes a mistake, you can make an objection post, and make a post to replace the erroneous post. This can only be done if the post is on one of the latest 3 pages or so.
- As per last version, if a poster wants, they may declare Hard Mode, which means the following poster may not use a song with the final word of the previous post in its title (so if the word is "star", Twinkle Twinkle Little Star may not be used, etc.)
Starting off with a song:
Is this the real life?
Is this just fantasy?
Caught in a landslide
No escape from reality
- Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
