Kingdom Hearts: Heartless Siege *starts*

Destiny Islands: Sunrise

Some seagulls were soaring gracefully above a small island, watching their nests from a slight distance, so that they could easily spot when danger threatened their precious treasures. Hiding in the tall trees of the island, was a boy. His hair was slightly long, and jet-black. His clothing was all grey with blackened ends. His green-grey eyes watched the seagulls with utter concentration. A quiver filled with arrows could be seen strapped around his shoulder. In his hand was a bow, made of wood from the paupou trees, trees bearing a special star-shaped fruit, and it is said that when two people share one, their destinies become intertwined, becoming a permanent part of each others lives.

He slowly and carefully pulled a bow from the quiver, and notched it onto the bow. He drew back ever so carefully, making sure his stance was correct for shooting. He aimed, and let the string loose. In seemingly a fraction of a second, the seagull dropped from the sky, an arrow in its breast. The boy smiled, and ran to where the seagull had fallen. He broke the arrow and pulled it out, and put the bird into a bag tied at his waist.

Kiba walked into a small wooden shack, and climbed a set of stairs that led to a bridge outside. He crossed the bridge, which led over to an even smaller island, where the paupou fruits grew. It was a great place for sparring, but the boy, whose name was Kiba, liked to hang out there to think. He sat on one of the tree trunks that lay almost flattened out, and absentmindedly played with the wooden sword that was also strapped to his back. He gazed at the horizon. The sun hadn’t quite risen yet, its fiery head had yet to appear. The sky was a light purple, and the stars were beginning to fade with the coming sun.

Maleficent strode through the dark library, small shards of light were filtering through the stain glass windows, but fell short of her dark form, as though the light was afraid to touch her. She was garbed in a black cloak that trailed to the floor. In her hand was a long staff with an emerald at the top. A raven was perched on her shoulder, its beady black eyes examining its semi-dark surroundings. In the library were two people, known as Chaos and Chrom(sp?).

“The time is near. Destiny Islands is soon to be no more. I need you two to go to Traverse Town, and await him there. You know of whom I speak. I shall meet you there later,” she said, referring of course to Kiba.

((Traverse Town will come into play soon. I’ll play Leon for now, but I can’t do anything with him until the good Keyblade Master arrives there, which will happen soon. I know that this first post is not very long, but it’s the best I can come up with for now.))

The 15 year old girl with long silver-white hair and red eyes known as Chaos was wearing a tight fitting long sleeve black shirt that buckles above the chest, along with tight fitting black shorts that has a semi coat at the bottom, watched as Maleficent came in and strode towards them.“The time is near. Destiny Islands is soon to be no more. I need you two to go to Traverse Town, and await him there. You know of whom I speak. I shall meet you there later,” Maleficent said. Chaos nodded in acknowledgement to Maleficents command and turned to go to Traverse town but waited at the door for Chrom.
((I guess this is all I can post til the destiny Islands is gone =P))

Kisara yawned quietly as she strode around the baren beach. Gazing up at the disappearing stars, she sighed to herself.

"Theres nothing to do here..." She thought.

She picked up her feet and continued her stroll around the beach. She watched in awe as the waves crashed upon the shore of the beach. Each stronger than the last. The sand had become wet and sticky where she was standing. Her feet got stuck occasionally. Annoying her further. Boredly, she jogged over to a small, wooden shack. It appeared to be abandoned.

"Hmmm.." She said, climbing the stairs.

Her curiosity had gotten the best of her.

"Cool.. a bridge" She whispered, and carefully crossed it.

She saw a boy about her age. Sitting alone, appearing to be bored like her.

"Hiya!" She spoke, somewhat in a hyper tone.

With the light sprawling in through the open window, Bulk rubbed his wirery eyes and stratched out his arms. He sat up and turned so he was on the end of his bed. He bent down and put on his black boots. Standing up Bulk went over to a ladder poking out through the floor. The wooden hut had two floors both connected by one brown, wooden ladder. Bulk slid down the ladder and landed on the first floor with a thud. Picking out a newly carved wooden sword from a pile of the toys, Bulk walked out of the cabbin and started swinging the sword around fighting off imaginary enemies. Bulk looked around the island paradise that surrounded him. He looked up to the platform above the sandy beach and to the left. He noticed Kiba sitting up on the platform. Bulk waved to him but he got no reply. Thinking to himself, Bulk smiled. He climbed up the ladder and onto the huge tree holding up the platform. He climbed onto the low hanging braches that stretched over the platform and over Kiba. As he came above Kiba, who had no idea he was there and was just stairing at the morning sun. Bulk looked at it for a second, it was a marvelouse sight. Turning back to Kiba, Bulk pulled his toy sword and lept down from the tree yelling, "YYYYAAAAARRRR!!!" Bulk landed on Kiba's back and poked him several times with the sword. Bulk laughed and flipped onto his back, sheiving his sword.

"Morning Kiba!" shouted Bulk. "Nice day, isn't it." Bulk tunred towards the bridge and saw a yuong girl coming towards them. He couldn't make out who it was and whether he knew her or not but he heard her call so shouted back, "Hi!"

Traverse town: Sunrise

A lone figure sat on the roof of the gizmo shop. This was the highest point, the height of the in-between world, Traverse town.

The sun's light was caressing the world in fine strands of light, though it was yet to break over the horizon. A soft wind blew.

The whistle of air blowing passed the figure, whose messy blonde hair was blown back from the breeze, his torn red velvet cape swirling behind his body.

He, who was called Cloud, reached to his arm, which was wrapped in cloth. He slowly unwound the cloth. He then picked up a riddiculously large sword.

Slowly, Cloud wound the cloth around it, creating the sword that would help both to save and to jeoperdise the light.

The Key... find the Key...
The Key to the worlds...
To save the worlds...
We need that Key...

Litera leaned back on the bench. Traverse Town wasn't really anything special after you'd been there for a little while. She kept recalling the things she was told, about a Key and its bearer...

"Meet the Keybearer in Traverse town."

The others were here too, out on their own buisiness. Maybe nearby, not like she would know. She had her eyes closed, anyway. All she saw was the memories...

"When will the Keybearer come? How will I know it is him?"
"You'll feel it. You have that power."
"Will I still know? What if I don't 'feel him'?"
"You will. Don't let your doubt override what you know is there..."

Litera sighed quietly. It would be soon enough. Anyway, she had to focus on other things now. Like, where was Leon? She sat forward, opening her startling blue eyes and gripping her chain by the handle. With a quick stretch Litera got back up to go find him, but she wouldn't leave just now. He couldn't be too far off, anyway.

Tranverse Town: Sunrise

I sat back on a bench sharpening my both me blades. I slowly slid my finger on the edge and instantly got a painful cut under my gloves. I slid my blades behind my back. I looked around and sensed a disturbance in the worlds. As if something bad were to happen. I keep hearing about a key bearer to come and we have to wait for him to lead us to the light. Rather pathetic people nowadays. Having to depend on one person. I then took out my dagger and saw my reflection shine perfectly. Even though I sensed that the key bearer was approaching his heart still was to be tested if it would be strong. It was also rather dangerous to depend on people like this. Even though I sense two are coming it still is rather risky. Both or one keyblader could have a strong heart and save us from total darkness or the opposite. Both or one could have weak hearts and give us to total darkness. We're running out of time. We know the enemy but now we need to know, who's the one who'll destroy the enemy. Which keyblader? Only one out of the two will emerge victorious...

"Stop it Bulk," he said with a warning glance, and drew his own wooden sword as he jumped from the flattened brach. How graceful was the jump! Small bits of sand swirled about his feet as he landed. He again stared out at the sunrise. The sun was poking its fiery head over the horizon, bathing the sky around it in a warm glow. Sure it was peaceful... but to Kiba, it was too peaceful. Day by day he lived with a yearning, to escape this place and find another land... another world... He paused from his thoughts when he heard someone speak.

"Kisara," he said, acknowledging her presence.

Traverse Town -sunrise

Leon was strolling throught the semi dark streets, his sword strapped to his back. The key is coming... Find the Key! He couldn't get those thoughts out of his head. It was as if another voice was speaking to him from far off. it wasn't long before he saw Litera, and he sensed she was troubled about something. He watched her from a distance, wondering what was on her mind. But he didn't want to talk just now.

"Yo, red, get your finely shaped butt up," a boy with messy brown hair yelled out. He was your average looking teen, wearing a leather jacket and hole filled jeans. Well, normal except for the huge white wings that adorned his back. And the large claymore that he carried on his back.

"Sieg, you mention my butt once more today and..." his companion, a similarly aged girl with long red hair awoke as well.

"I know, feed me to that overstuffed chicken you can call on at will," Sieg brushed his hair out of his eyes with little care for the threat.

"His name is Phoenix, and he's a Houou thank you, not a chicken!"

"Yeah, well whatever the bird is I have yet to really see him, so frankly it doesn't impress me," Tila sighed.

"Why do I even hang around with you?"

"Because I saved your life, you haven't repayed the debt, and I'm the only person you know, that and you love me,"

"Everything but the last part Sieg, and don't you forget it," she was lying, but she wasn't going to tell him that. Sieg shrugged, opened his long white wings, and set off over the eerily deserted metropolis of Transverse Town. The arg walls were no problem for one with wings, so he casually soared into the main area. He saw some guy in a leather jacket with brown hair, but he couldn't be bothered to talk.

Neither of them knew that was just a normal day was about to get very interesting...

Vertina pulled on her purple T-shirt and jeans. Nothing was better for the senses than a nice early morning swim. She shook her long green hair, the morning sun helping to dry it off further. Finally, she threw on her green hoody, and wlaked down the bunch, hands behind her head. She saw Bulk, Kiba and Isara all gathered on the island she had been swimming around. She huffed. How could they just ignore her? She'd fix that.

"Hey guys, whatcha doing!?" she yelled out jumping onto the island with the grace of a flying eagle...

OOC: I'll PM you soon with who Vertina's older sibling is, but I need to clear out my inbox.

"Hi Vertina," Kiba said as he greeted her, though reluctantly. It wasn't that he didn't like her, it was that he did. He was so anti-social, and Vertina... Well lets just say he had some feelings for her. (I just picked one)

"Ahem. I'd like to ask you all a question. Am I the only one here that wakes up before the island?" he asked with some humor, people started popping up over to him, but it was always after sunrise.

Chrom sat atop a case of books, trying to read them. Unfrotunately for him, the lack of a second hand hindered this. Eventually, after trying to turn the third page, Chrom shut the book and shoved it back into the shelf beneath him. Just as he looked up, he saw the door begin to open. Chrom quickly slid off the bookcase, landing next to a girl approximately his age with long, silvery-white hair in a roll to cusion the impact. He stood up quickly as a woman in long, black robes holding a staff with an emerald jewel on top and a raven on her shoulder entered and stood before Chrom and the girl, whom he knew as Chaos.

“The time is near. Destiny Islands is soon to be no more. I need you two to go to Traverse Town, and await him there. You know of whom I speak. I shall meet you there later,” she said. Chrom knew, of course, that she was referring to Kiba, a holder of the keyblade whom had turned to the darkness. Chaos nodded confirmation and Chrom followed suit. Chrom took himself as dismissed and began to walk after Chaos toward the door. About a quarter-way there, he thought he caught a glimpse of a book with an interesting title.

He went over to the bookshelves, seeing for the first time a book that, judging by the title, held information on the corruption of the heart by darkness. Chrom knew that he had not the time now to read deeper, so he instead grabbed the book and threw it atop the bookcase for later. He then moved to the door, where Chaos was waiting, and exited the library with her.

Kisara was somewhat surprised about Kiba's question. She didn't get up early, but today, she felt as though she should.

"Nooo... its just that well...."

Kisara said, he train of thought had left her.

"Uh..." She said, started to feel her face grow warm.

"Forget it!" She said in exhaustion.

"Oh hiya!" Kisara replied, remembering she had been spoke to.

" ' Names Kisara!"

She reached out her hand, as if to imply a hand shake with Bulk.

Since her attention span was very small, she quickly drew it back.

"Vertina!" Kisara yelled, once she had reconized her.

With a small jump, she rushed to hug one of her dear friends.

"How've ya been?" She asked, squeezing harder and harder on the hug.

"I was fine Kisara, but you should know that at this rate my lungs will rupture!" Vertina was fine with hugging, but there's hugging, and there's assassination attempts! Once she was free from the vice of death, she answered Kiba's question.

"Yeah, well some days I wake up earlier, and some days you do. There are greater things in heaven and earth than man himself can imagine,"

Everyone stared at Vertina for the comment.

"Or something like that...hehe, I know I meant something that would make sense,"

Bulk

"Right..." said Bulk in answer to Vertina's comment. "Well, what you guys want to do today? I know! How about that raft me and Kiba made yesturday. It still nedds a name but we can use it to sail off to other islands!"

Bulk knew this wasn't true. He'd lived on Destiny Islands all his life and had only heard rumors about other islands and he doughted they excitsted. However, he still wanted to have fun even if it ment pretending they were visting other islands whilst still on their own.

Without waiting for a reply from the others, Bulk hopped over the ldge and landed on the soft sand. He rolled swiftly so he was back on hs feet and smiled, looking incredibly cool (j/k). Bulk ran accross the bridge towads the bay where the raft was tied up. He was almost halfway there when he noticed something out of the corner of his eye. He stopped quickly and turned towards his own shadow. He could've sworn he had seen it move but in accordance with him. Puzzeled, Bulk just dismissed the idea thinking it to be his own imagination. He ran over to the warm water and jumped onto the raft. Grabbing the mast and twirling round so he was now facing the bridge with the others, he called to them.

"Oi! You lot! The last one on the raft's a rotten egg!"

Kisara laughed nervously. She didn't wanna kill one of her best friends.

"HEY! I DON'T WANNA BE A ROTTEN EGG! "

She yelled, charging after Bulk. After all, Kisara had a competitive spirit, and hated losing. Coming in second was fine, but third was not an option.

"WAIT UP!" She huffed and gasped for breath as her feet had the sand. Instants later, she found the raft, bobbling up and down on the water.

"Are you... sure this thing is... you know, stable?"

She touched the raft with her foot, and darted back.

"I'm gonna end up drowning" In her mind, she thought this. Where as in reality, she had fake smile on her face.

"Don't we need... you know... food? Clothing.... heck life-gear?!?" She said alarmed.

She stared out into the oceanic abbyss, wondering what kind of world's and adventure awaited her.

"Oh don't be such a baby, an adventures an adventure!" Vertina yelled, jumping straight from the island, and landing about halfay down the beach. She rushed over to the raft, and jumped on again. It plunged under the water when she landed, and her shoes were now filled with water. Once the raft returned to the surface, she took them off, and without having her expression change for a second, poared the water over Bulk's head, before putting them back on.

"Next time, build a raft I can jump on without soaking my jeans."

As the sky above the twisted in-between world became red, Litera started to walk around town. Maybe she wasn't in the right area, that's why she hadn't found the Keybearer. But of course, he wasn't here yet. She was just being impatient.

She decided that it would be better to at least get woken up fully. That may stop some of these crazy half-dreams that she had. And Leon was still out here somewhere. Oh well, she'd find him. He normally found her, anyway.

The water splashed down over Bulk's head, drenching his hair and most of his shirt in the process.

"OI!!!" screamed Bulk, falling backwards and landing head first in the water. Bulk stood up as the water was very shallow and only came up to his waste. It was cool but not cold, perfect temperature. He was drenched and his facial expression was not impressed. He glared at Vertina, giving her a very unimpressed look. But Bulk was only joking. His frown turned to a smile and he jumped back onto the raft and pushed Vertina in.

"Well, you were already partly wet," said Bulk, giggling as Vertina was engulfed in water. The sun was already half way up so Bulk new his clothes would be dry soon. He turned to Kisara and answered, "This thing's perfectly stable, look." Bulk wobbled the raft from side to side causing Vertina to get even wetter because of the wash he was making. "And we'll be fine in the clothes we’ve got. We'll be back in time for lunch and life gear's for wimps. We'll be fine, nothing dangerous is going to happen."

Bulk couldn't have been more wrong, today; Destiny Islands would be no more...

kiba was about to run out and join them... but he stopped in mid-run. He had seen something, a shadow, run under the bridge. But that's impossible... shadows don't move on their own... but he dismissed it as he continued swiftly, although gracefully, towards the raft.

Vertina ducked under the surface, and swam behind Bulk. As quiet as a serpent, she grabbed the back of his leg, and pulled him backwards into the water, before climbing onto the raft.

"You were saying something about nothing dangerous happening? Come on, you know that's no fun!" She stuck her tongue out, with the same smile she'd kept on her face the whole time. Then something happened. She held onto her head, as an image entered her mind...

"Why must we do this dear, she is our daughter," a woman in fine golden armour was speaking to a man in thick, fur coated armour.

"I know, it is a harsh fate, but Odin said it himself, she is one who has the fate of the world rested on her shoulders," he too sounded distraught, but he jeld a look that said he wasn't going to stop whatever they were doing.

"Why must I banish my own child though? Odin says these worlds exist, but I have yet to see them,"

"You will have to trust Odin. He could've punished you greatly for what we have done, but he has not. We owe him this much," snow ws falling fiercly behind them. The woman slowly pulled back the top of a bundle of cloth she was holding, revealing a small baby, with long green hair...

Vertina rocked slightly, the flashback was causing her a lot of mental strain. She slowly lost her balance, and fell backwards...

OOC: Someone gets to be hero early.
