(My first shot at a KH RPG. Tell me if I forgot to explain something or left something out besides the absence of the Disney Castle)
Kingdom Hearts: Heartless Siege
Kingdom Hearts began in the Endless Abyss, a world void of light. All worlds began in this place of Darkness, and so would they end. Kingdom Hearts lies within it. It is the door to light, which appears as a cathedral door, complete with stained glass at the top. What lays beyond that door… no one knows for certain.
The Heartless-
The Heartless are, as you can guess, creatures lacking hearts. They come in many different varieties of size, shape, and color. Heartless prey on the darkness in people’s hearts, and there is darkness… within every heart. Ansem, a sage who sought to unravel the mysteries of the heart, created them accidentally. When he discovered a Heartless in place of his subject, he was intrigued by it. It was completely black, it appeared to be some sort of small creature, bug-like in appearance; it had long antennae on its head, it stood on two legs, and had long feet, as well as beady yellow eyes. It is now called a Shadow. Eager to study it further, he ran other tests on it, and the single Shadow multiplied.
One day the antennae on its head began to twitch, moving around like you would adjust the antennae on a TV set. It appeared to be searching for something. Ansem let it roam freely, and it went underneath the castle in which he lived. Underneath it Ansem discovered a door of sorts, with a large keyhole on it. While he didn’t know it yet, it was the door to the world, the very key to its existence. The heart of the world, if you will. Intrigued further, he opened the door, unaware that opening the door would allow the Heartless free passage into other worlds, which previously was impossible, due to impassable barriers between them. But the Heartless ate holes in these barriers, and allowed passage into the other worlds, which are supposed to be secret to all but a select few.
Knowing he couldn’t travel to these worlds using only his weak body, he did the unthinkable; he opened his heart to darkness, destroying his physical form. Heartless began invading other worlds, entering through hidden “Keyholes”, which lead to the heart of the world. Upon doing this, the Heartless were sealing the destruction of that world, unless the Keyhole was sealed. But this could only be done with an object called a Keyblade. It is a unique weapon; few can wield it, because the Keyblade chooses its master. It is a sword, with a handle on one end, a shaft (which can be long or short depending on what form is taken), and a blade that is shaped like the notches of a key. A keychain is attached to the handle, and depending on the Keychain attached, the Keyblade will take a certain form. Its true form is the Kingdom Key, a Mickey Mouse head keychain, that when attached, draws out the Keyblade’s true form and power. This Keyblade has a gold handle, a small blue strip is on the silver shaft, and the blade is shaped like a crown.
The Worlds-
Each world is unique, having its own different properties such as climate, wildlife, and even Heartless. Many of them are based off of Disney movies. But they all have one thing in common- they all have a Keyhole. It is the Keybearor’s job to travel to these worlds and seal the keyhole before the Heartless eradicates it. The only way to travel to a world is by using a large vessel, the heroes will travel using the Gummi Ship, a rocket made of a strange material called “Gummi”, that bonds easily. They will travel through inter-space with it. Here is a list of the worlds in this RP-
Destiny Islands-
A tiny tropical island, full of friendly locals. It is the home of our good characters, but it is not such a welcome home to those who seek freedom. However, it will not stay long.
Traverse Town-
A huge town full of diverse citizens. This is because many who have lost their world to the Heartless end up here. You can always see the clear night sky. It is separated into three districts, the first is where you find most shops; it is the only one Heartless have not gotten into. There are a few shops in the second district, including a hotel. The third district is practically empty, except for the home of the mysterious magician. This is the home for some recognizable Final Fantasy characters that once lived in Ansems’s world, including Leon, Yuffie, Aerith, and the Moogles. Moogles are quite skilled at Synthesizing, or using mixing items, such as crystals, together to make a new item.
Deep Jungle-
A vast jungle, and one of the larger worlds. This is the home of Tarzan, as you may have guessed. Camping there are Jane, and her escort, the hunter, Clayton. While Jane only wants to study Tarzan’s gorilla family, Clayton wants to hunt down every last one of them. The only problem is that Jane has no idea of Clayton’s intentions.
Olympus Coliseum-
Perhaps one of the smallest worlds in the game, all the Olympus Coliseum is, well, a coliseum. This offers many battles, and it is home to Hercules, and, one of the bigger villains in the RP, Hades. And he’s brought his pet with him. *hinthintCerberoushint*
Agrabah-
A large town surrounded by an even bigger desert, Agrabah is home to the street rat Aladdin, Princess Jasmine, and the evil vizier, Jafar, another big villain in the RP. Across the desert lies the Cave of Wonders, which rarely appears. Its entrance is shaped like a tiger head with a single earring. It will only open at Aladdin’s will, because he is the one, the “Diamond in the Rough”. Inside the Cave are mounds of treasure, but also, a treasure worth far more than it first appears. At first glance it seems a tarnished old lamp, but inside is the legendary Genie. Jafar seeks this Genie to find the Keyhole of Agrabah, and rule the world as well.
Atlantica-
A medium sized world, Atlantica is made up of a large palace, and the ocean surrounding it. The palace is home to King Triton, the merman, his daughter, Ariel, the beautiful mermaid who yearns to explore other lands, her best friend, Flounder the fish, and Sebastian, the crab who is charged with watching over Ariel. Outside the palace, in an eerie place called the Den of Tides, presides Ursula, the dark seawitch, who is well known for tricking merpeople into serving her evil purpose (Which is overthrowing Triton) by pretending to help them. This “help” is always pricy however. Serving her are the cunning and demented moray eels, Flotsam and Jetsam. Ursula is another main villain in this RP.
Halloweentown-
This is a small town that lives for Halloween! Halloween is the center of everything here, and the citizens sure show it. Most of them are monsters, but only in appearance. Here lives Jack Skellington, whose life goal is to throw the best Halloween festival there ever was. His best friend is Zero, the ghost dog. Sally, a girl created by Dr. Finkelstein, loves him. She sometimes assists the doctor in his experiments, though occasionally one of her body parts will come off and act on their own. (Ex, being her hand) Just on the outskirts of the town lives Oogie Boogie, who looks like an overgrown pillowcase with arms, legs, holes cut out for his eyes, and he’s filled with bugs. I know, gross right? He is another important villain.
Neverland-
Maybe the second smallest world in the game, Neverland only consists of a ship and the center of London, Big Ben. The ship belongs to the strange Captain Hook, a pirate who always keeps his word, and has a hook in place of one of his hands. His first mate is Mr. Smee. Here also lives Peter Pan, the boy who never grew up. With him is Tinkerbell, the pixie who can make people fly by sprinkling them with the dust that covers her wings. Her fatal flaw is that she gets jealous whenever Peter is attracted to another girl. Although tiny, she can get her point across pretty quickly about it.
Hollow Bastion-
The “base” of the Heartless, this world contains a big castle that bears the Heartless emblem, which is a heart with a stretched point that ends in three curved points, and it is divided into four quadrants. Here lives Maleficent, an evil witch who desires to gather the seven “Princesses of Heart”, which is a concept that will be explained soon. When the Heartless destroyed her world, she left for Hollow Bastion, kidnapping Aurora, better known as “Sleeping Beauty”, who is one of the seven Princesses. Beast, the prince who was transformed into a monster for his selfishness, followed Maleficent here when she kidnapped the one he loves, Belle, another of the Princesses, after his world was destroyed. She kidnapped a few of the other Princesses while destroying their world, and they would be Snow White and Cinderella.
The Princesses of Heart-
The Princesses of Heart are the seven princesses needed to complete the final Keyhole, which is in Hollow Bastion. The Seven are Aurora, Cinderella, Snow White, Belle, Jasmine, and two others that are currently unknown (Hinthint). Maleficent seeks these princesses, so she can complete the final Keyhole and travel through it to the world of darkness, which is where Kingdom Hearts is located. What she doesn’t know is that she is being manipulated by the Heartless themselves. Ansem followed her, and also seeks the Princesses, so that he can complete his quest for power by opening the “Door to Darkness”, which is in fact Kingdom Hearts. Go figure.
The Plot-
Now that that has al been explained, lets get on to what we’re supposed to do. There will be two Keyblade Masters, one will try to seal all the Keyholes and try to successfully stop Ansem, and the other will follow Maleficent, and unknowingly help her while he tries to find the other two Princesses of Heart, which lived with them on Destiny Islands. This one will end up being controlled by Ansem, who we must remember, lacks a truly physical form. The remaining two Princesses of Heart were transported from Hollow Bastion when Ansem first opened the door to the heart (Keyhole) of his world. The Princesses seemed to end up drifting along the shore to Destiny Islands after a mysterious meteor shower, and have been living at Destiny islands since they were little. Also strange, they will have no memory of Hollow Bastion. There will be two other friends that accompany the Keyblade Master that must seal all the Keyholes, one should be an amateur magician, and the other should be a soldier of some sort, amateur also with the weapon he/she will carry. They will live in Traverse Town, which is ultimately where their Keyblade Master will end up when Destiny Islands is destroyed.
(The reason there are two Princesses at Destiny Islands instead of one is because I didn’t want Alice or her world to be in this RP. Plus I hate that movie, and anything to do with it. Except for Cheshire Cat)
Sign-up Sheet-
Name: (cannot be Sora, Riku, or Kairi)
Age: (14-16)
Gender: (If you are signing up as one of the last two Princesses, this must be female. Male would be preferred for the two Keyblade masters, but one of them can be female)
Description: (Five complete sentences min.)
Personality: (Same as above)
Alternate forms: (In certain places, another form must be assumed to hide the fact that you are, in fact, from another world, because it has been kept secret for a long time that there are hundreds of existing worlds. This will only apply to the good Keyblade master and their companions. But you will need one for Halloweentown, and for Atlantica. The one for Halloweentown should be monster-ish, and the Atlantica version should be a marine animal of some sort, like a dolphin. But keep your original face or upper body. Should be at least three sentences)
Heartless form: (Because you could easily lose your heart to the Heartless in this RP, you will need a Heartless form. This is required for everyone except for the princesses, because for some strange reason they don’t become Heartless when they lose their heart, just unconscious and non-responsive. This form cannot be a Heartless from the game, it should be unique, so we can tell you apart from other Heartless. But this from will never be permanent. Should be five sentences min.)
Keyblade Description: (This is only if you are signing up as a Keyblade Master. It can be one from the game or one you made up, just as long as it isn’t the Ultima Weapon, because that is too powerful. Five sentence min.)
Preferred Weapon: (This is for the companions that accompany the Keyblade Master. The magician character should carry a staff of some sort, and a sword or a shield is required for the soldier type character, but not both)
I will basically be playing Ansem, and probably Maleficent too. Whoever is accepted can also ask to be another of the villains, and the Final Fantasy characters will be open too.
