Kingdom Hearts: Renegades (Signups) [PG-13]
SU's ARE CLOSED EXCEPT TO THOSE INVITED TO SU OVER PM.
Timeline
This RPG takes place starting on the Sixth Day of Kingdom Hearts II (just as Sora and company are waking up). 358/2 Days, re:coded, and Birth By Sleep will be covered in this RP; if you have not played them yet, you risk being spoiled.
Plot
For as long as time has existed, the Light and Darkness have been at war with each other. The Keyblade Masters, Heroes of the Light, and the Heartless, Heralds of the Darkness, have struggled for supremacy. Yet, those who stand in-between, the Nobodies, are pushed away from both sides, left to seek their own devices, despite their connections to those of both sides. Capable of higher thought and planning that the Heartless, and without the emotions and hearts that limit the powers of the Light-dwellers, the Nobodies seek to be complete again. At least, some of them do.
Organization XIII, a group of Nobodies who were capable of retaining their human forms, began with simple curiosity into the workings of the human heart. The first six members of this group came to a general consensus; to collect hearts to form an artificial version of Kingdom Hearts, the Heart of All Worlds. With this, they would gain the power necessary to return to their human states, at the cost of a great many hearts and the sacrifices of countless worlds and people. As time passed, they collected more members until they finally stopped at 13, each sharing the same goal, with exception to the Superior of the group, Xemnas, whose true goals are relatively unknown to others. Their policies rigid and their methods cold, they did whatever was necessary to try and obtain their goal. Lacking emotions, they felt no remorse for their actions.
However, that does not go to say that all of these human-form Nobodies feel the same way. Some felt some connection to emotion, brought on by recollections of their time with hearts. For this reason, several human-form Nobodies refused to join the Organization, accepting their non-existence as fact and refusing to wish return to their previous state, some even wishing the Organization harm to prevent the disruption of the world's order. The Organization has labeled these few non-members as 'Renegades', with orders to destroy any seen on sight.
Being few in number and distant in communication, the Renegades have gone about their own business. Some fight against them, and others remain neutral. Now, five members lay slain in Castle Oblivion, another has rejoined his Light half, another unreal, one is a traitor, and six members remain, working on completing their master plan. The clock is ticking. Forces are moving. Only time will tell.....
Signing Up
This RPG has room for seven Renegade Organization XIII Members, one for each missing or slain member (Vexen, Lexaeus, Zexion, Marluxia, Larxene, Roxas, and Xion). Additional characters are accepted, as well as Renegades with Keyblades, but you will need to do an exceptional job with the Sign-Up. Canon characters will be NPC's controlled by everyone.
Regarding Connections to NPC’s from the Land of Departure: I will allow characters to have knowledge of our lost friends from the LoD, HOWEVER, the fate of the group members MAY NOT be known by any character until after a certain point in the RP (which I will announce).
In addition, the following worlds are not to be visited until after a certain point in the RP (or unless I give the RP’er permission to visit): Castle Oblivion, The World That Never Was, and The Keyblade Graveyard. All other worlds featured in a currently released Kingdom Hearts game may be visited, including those solely visited in BBS (with the exceptions of Deep Space and Neverland; because Stitch and Peter Pan are summons in KHII, we can presume that their worlds have been destroyed).
In addition, while reference may be made to Traverse Town, we will be operating with the idea that since it is made up of parts of other worlds, which have since been restored by Sora in KH, Traverse Town no longer exists.
------------------------------------------------------------------
For Renegades:
Name: All Org. XIII Members have an “x” in their name, and their names are anagrams of their names before they became Nobodies. Because your characters are Renegades, they may or may not go by the name the Organization gave them; it's your call.
Age Before Becoming Nobody: Straightforward. Can be any age, no less than 13, or older than 30. Use logic, and make your description match the age.
Gender: Don’t make me explain this any more than this; male or female, take your pick.
Element: Each Org. Member has one Element/Attribute which they can control in general. Since you are human-formed Nobodies, so does your character. While you are encouraged to be original and choose elements that have not already been used by a member of the Organization, this is no longer a requirement.
Title/Moniker: Example: Axel was “The Fury of Dancing Flames”, Luxord “The Gambler of Fate”, etc. Make sure it describes your character in a few words. This is OPTIONAL, since your character doesn’t belong to the Organization.
History: Describe the character’s life before they became Nobodies. Friends, what world (Note that it can be made up, but must be logical and must be like Twilight/Traverse town in terms of people/art style) they were on, etc. Be sure that you tell how they succumbed to the darkness and how they got on the wrong side of the Organization, and what they have been up to between their rebirth and the start of the RP. 2-3 paragraphs MINIMUM.
Personality: Important. What are they like as Nobodies? Just describe how they are. 1-2 paragraphs minimum.
Physical Description: What do they look like? Some may choose to wear the standard Organization Black Cloak, but you do have leeway with clothing and such if you do so wish. 1 paragraph minimum.
Weapon/Abilities: Give the name and a description of your character’s weapon. Your weapon does not have to have the Symbol of Nothingness on it, but it may. If Keyblade, be sure to name it. Also describe any abilities you character has, such as spells, etc.
Lesser Nobody: Despite not being members of the Organization, as a human-form Nobody, you control one type of Lesser Nobody of your own design, suited to your character’s fighting style. Please remember that they MUST have the Symbol of Nothingness on them somewhere (look at any lesser Nobody for an example). The color scheme should constrain to the scheme of existing Lesser Nobodies (purple/blue and white) and they at least need to be vaguely humanoid. These Nobodies cannot be controlled by the Organization as you are not a member, but Dusk and Creepers will listen to both sides. When in doubt, the Organization overrides Dusk and Creepers. 1 paragraph minimum.
Character Theme: You may choose any existing piece of music from Kingdom Hearts to act as a theme song for your character. Hikari (Simple and Clean), Passion (Sanctuary), Another Side, and Fate of the Unknown cannot be chosen. You may use a cannon character’s theme.
Battle Theme: When you enter battle with another character or NPC, this is the music that would play if this was a KH game (from your characters' perspective).
Character Journal Entry: A journal entry for your character, as though it is in Jiminy's Journal from the games (use comparable entries from KHII as templates if it helps). This needs to be as long as it needs to be. Please place this in italics.
Lesser Nobody Journal Entry: A journal entry for your character's Lesser Nobody, as though it is in Jiminy's Journal from the games (use comparable entries from KHII as templates if it helps). This needs to be as long as it needs to be. Please place this in italics.
Other Info: Anything you can add that will help me/other’s understand your character.

Please note that I reserve the right to change Journal Entries if they are not in the correct format. This was a problem last time. Thanks!
Once we have the required number of people, the RPG will begin. I accept reservations, but please include your chosen element (if Renegade). It makes things easier. You are allowed TWO characters (both may not be Renegades unless SU’s don’t take off), but you cannot sign up for a second character until your first is accepted.
Also please note that I am going to be somewhat harsher with SU critiquing this time around. I highly enjoy working on these RP’s, but having it die only a week due to lack of participation after it starts is very frustrating. I am looking for people who really want to be a part of the RP and who know the fandom; I really don’t want this RP to die this time. Thank you for understanding.

My SU:
Name: Rize (predates the Organization, name did not change)
Age Before Becoming Nobody: 26 (looks 15: 10 years BBS to KH, 1 yr from KH/re:COM to KHII)
Gender: Male
Element: Twilight
Title/Moniker: The Bane of Light and Shadow
History: Rize does not know where he was originally from, nor can he remember anything from before he turned ten years old; if asked, his earliest memory would be looking up into the curious face of Keyblade Master Eraqus, as Rize lay, bleeding and near death, in the courtyard outside the castle at the Land of Departure. For reasons known only to Master Eraqus, he took Rize in and trained him alongside his two existing pupils, Terra and Aqua (joined a year later by Ven), who all became close friends; despite the fact that he could not wield the Keyblade, Master Eraqus’s teachings in magic, as well as a gift of a matching pair of daggers (and training with them), made Rize into a warrior nearly on par with his three friends.
However, his injuries never fully faded away, leaving Rize sick and bedridden often. It was like this that Rize watched, from an upper balcony, his two elder friends Mark of Mastery examination. He also noticed the somewhat unusual behavior of Master Xehanort, becoming distrustful of him almost immediately. Afterwards, after comforting Terra, he was forced to watch as Ven, his closest friend, took off into the Lanes Between after Terra. Managing to catch Aqua before she departed, he made her promise, on top of Master Eraqus’s orders, to bring Ven home. She agreed, and before departing, gave him an item she’d meant to give to him the previous night, but hadn’t because his injuries had suddenly flared up; a purple-glass Wayfinder. He never saw his friends again.
Rize’s personality, however, would not allow him to sit still while his friends traveled across the worlds, possibly in danger; thus, when Vanitas (on Master Xehanort’s orders) appeared and offered to help Rize find his friends, it is not surprising he took the Unversed up on the offer. Giving him a Black Cloak (from Xehanort), he showed him how to open a portal to the Lanes Between using his magic alone. Master Eraqus felt the opening to the Lanes, but did not arrive in time to stop Rize stepping through.
Using his magic to propel himself through the Lanes Between, Rize began exploring worlds previously visited by his friends, not lingering when he discovered they had already passed through. He was eventually psychically contacted by Master Xehanort under the guise of leading him to his friends; he was led to a remote part of the Keyblade Graveyard, where Vanitas appeared and proceeded to attack him, making cryptic remarks about why he had been called. It was only when Vanitas seemingly lay unconscious that Master Xehanort appeared, binding Rize to the ground as Vanitas rose, and the pair explained the situation to him; Master Xehanort’s adventures into history and the Darkness had led him to information regarding “the non-existent ones”, beings supposedly created when the heart falls to Darkness, composed of the empty vessel left behind. It was Master Xehanort’s want to perform an experiment to try and create this creature, using Rize as a test subject; his strong connections to his friends led Xehanort to believe he would be able to produce such a creature. Trying to break Rize’s spirit by claiming his friends had never cared for him, Xehanort and Vanitas began infecting him with Darkness. Rize, though, never gave up hope that, if nothing else, Ven had always been his friend. It was with this thought in mind, that his friend would never give up on him, that he was dragged down into Darkness.
The events that transpired after his heart fell to Darkness are still somewhat unclear to Rize; most of what he can remember are screams. The next thing that he knew was waking up on the cold, lifeless sand of the Dark Meridian, clothed in a Black Cloak, his Wayfinder around his neck, his eyes red-orange, and his hair containing electric blue strands. After awakening, he traveled to the Mysterious Tower and learned from Master Yen Sid of the destruction of the Land of Departure and the disappearance of his friends; Master Yen Sid also helped him realize the extent of what Xehanort had done. Learning that he no longer possessed a heart and believing that he was now no more than a mindless, evil creature of Darkness, he tried to flee the Tower, but Master Yen Sid prevented him, informing him that the connection between Rize and his friends (represented by the Wayfinders) was a very strong bond, strong enough, in fact, that it was substituting for his lack of heart; his friends hearts were unconsciously responding to Rize’s plight by allowing him to continue feeling emotion. Relieved, and with an even greater reason to find them, Rize set out to locate his friends. He searched for them for weeks, but never found any clues; it was at this point he swore bloody revenge on Xehanort for what had transpired (he was unconscious for the events at the Keyblade Graveyard and for the events of the Final Episode, and cannot tell that the Land of Departure is now Castle Oblivion).
Nowadays, Rize is a traveler, seeking out information regarding his friends and Xehanort; after the creation of the Organization, Rize ceased wearing his Black Cloak day-to-day, finally settling down in Twilight Town, where his normal clothing was not too out of place to be noticed. Even after that, he continued to search the worlds, running into Xigbar once; Rize nearly succeeded in destroying him when the Freeshooter recognized Rize in Olympus Coliseum and tried to get a rise out of him by insulting his friends. Needless to say, the conversation did not go well. Despite this encounter, most of the Organization considers him to be a myth thought up by Xigbar to compensate for a failed mission that particular day. Rize has also met and has a good rapport with Axel, though Axel has not mentioned this to his superiors.
Rize currently resides in Twilight Town, working at the Moogle Synthesis Shop in exchange for the services of the Moogle’s extensive information network in locating his friends; he also does the odd errand for Master Yen Sid now and again. His injuries have not flared up since he became a Nobody. He also uses his powers to make people not notice the fact that he does not age.
Personality: Rize is a kind and jovial fellow to be around; while he has his bouts of anger like other people, he tries to solve disputes and be kind around people. However, that does not mean he does not have a darker side. When his emotions reach a fever pitch, the Darkness begins to affect him, causing a drastic shift in mood. He begins to act like most senior members of the Organization, with no pretense of a heart or emotion. Defeating Rize in combat is proven to be the most effective method of knocking sense into him.
He is somewhat competitive, entering the annual Struggle tournament in Twilight Town every couple of years under different identities; he hasn’t won, but he’s gotten close. He always tries his hardest and never gives up, especially with the knowledge that his friends are still out there somewhere. He is also sometimes hasty to make decisions, running into situations without fully thinking things through.
Rize’s connections to his friends are particularly strong, and so far, the connection through their Wayfinders has acted as a substitute for a heart; their hearts are subconsciously feeling emotion for Rize, and are projecting it to him through the link. His connection with his closest friend, Ven, is particularly strong; should Ven (or any of his friends, for that matter) be threatened in any way (by actions or words, even when he/they isn’t/aren’t nearby), Rize will fight to eliminate the threat with everything he has, calling upon the most destructive abilities in his arsenal (this is why Xigbar almost didn’t return from the Coliseum one day). If Rize ever enters this stage of battle, it is safe to say that there will be no stopping him until either he, or the threat, is eliminated.
Physical Description: Rize stands about five-eleven, although his shoes make him look about six-zero, and he is built a bit like Axel; he is skinny (not anorexic) and also has visible muscle, which, for some reason, people ignore, thinking because he is thin, he is weak, which has led him to victory in more than one battle.
He chooses for his clothing a black t-shirt, a silver and black, heavily pocketed, zippered jacket that is normally unzipped, and similarly colored baggy shorts. As for footwear, he wears thick-soled, ankle high, silver trimmed boots (ankle high Org. XIII boots). He also wears a black metal wristband around each wrist, and black, fingerless gloves with metal plates on the back on his hands. The wristbands are engraved in silver with several runes and the Mark of Mastery, gifts from Master Eraqus that he can store magic power in for later use. His purple-glass Wayfinder hangs from its cord around his neck, the actual charm covered by his shirt. He also has a Black Cloak if he needs to hide his identity.
His clothing is not the only unique thing about him. His hair is white, with several electric blue strands that appeared when he became a Nobody. It is rather spiky in the back, and almost covers his left eye in the front (Think Axels’ and Zexions’ hair combined, just a little shorter). His face is soft and kind, with a kind, usually smiling mouth, small nose, and somewhat big, yellow-orange eyes, which he normally hides behind dark sunglasses. His skin is somewhat tanned from his large amounts of time in the sun.
Anyone who knew Rize previously may very well be able to recognize him (as Xigbar did, and only from descriptions of him from Master Xehanort); the only aspects of his appearance that changed with his transformation into a Nobody were the length of his hair, the addition of the blue strands, and his eyes.
Weapon/Abilities: As far as weapons go, Rize normally relies on twin silver and black daggers, held in a reverse grip (a gift from Master Eraqus), and magic. He can, however, use Twilight to reshape his weapons into anything else save Keyblades. He also has many varied Twilight-based attacks.
He is also a skilled mage thanks to Master Eraqus’s teachings; he is proficient in all second-tier spells, as well as the basic tier spells Esuna, Vanish, and Mine Square, the third-tier Curaga, and the dark-spell Dark Firaga. His Moogle friends occasionally (and for a price, usually) help him learn new spells. His magic capacity leaves much to be desired, however; he can usually cast 3-4 spells in a row (or one Cura/Curaga or Vanish) before needing time to recharge or an Ether. He also uses the Twilight to make people ignore the fact that he does not age.
Because of Master Eraqus's teachings, he mainly uses his magic and unchanged daggers. He will resort to the Twilight in circumstances when his magic and daggers are not enough. Should he have to use his full powers, or should he become truly enraged, the Black Cloak will “automagically” appear on him.
Lesser Nobody: Blade Nobodies are short, stocky Nobodies equipped with bladed arms. Their primary forms of attack are the rapid extension and retraction of their bladed arms at opponents, as well as extension while spinning like tops towards opponents. This can be avoided and turned against them by jumping just before they reach you and using the Spin Driver Reaction Command, which uses their momentum against them to drive them into the ground, destroying them. Doing this requires very precise timing.
No one knows that Rize commands these Nobodies, but they are known to attack members of the Organization and other Lesser Nobodies at random (Rize seeds them on various worlds every so often). Most of these attacks occur in Twilight Town.
Character Theme: Tears of the Light
Battle Theme: Future Masters (fun/playful battle), Dark Impetus (semi-serious battle), Rage Awakened – the Origin (Org. XIII Cloak/full use of powers)
Character Journal Entry: ??? - Not much is known about this being, not even to the Organization. He has eluded any and all foes for many years, leading all but a few members to believe him a myth. There are even rumors that he predates the Organization.
Xigbar seems to have a connection to him, but what that connection entails is unknown.
Lesser Nobody Journal Entry: A Blade. A high-ranking Nobody. Their namesake bladed arms can extend and retract at great speed, and they can rotate at high velocities. If they are spinning towards you, jump and perform Spin Driver to destroy them before they slice and dice you.
These Lesser Nobodies are known to attack members of the Organization and other Lesser Nobodies at random. It is not known who controls them.
